Have my run filmed and analysed last year- the key to saving money in this instance is not to get hung up on brand names, and buy the correct tool for the job.... sportsshoes in bradford suggested reebok for me- and I raised both eyebrows! As if I am just not chav enough! They work well though. Recommended.
:rotfl:I had near the same thing- when I first went to runners world last year, I was hopeing they would point me in the direction of some Asics or even Nike. But then they said my best bets were Saucony or Brookes, I wanted to leave the store! I was like "who are they? JD sports don't sell them so they can't be that good- (now cringing at those very thoughts!) Changed my mind after a few days in the gym though and luckily I bought a pair and seem to have caught my shin injury early! It never has developed into anything. Its so interesting to watch too- I really get interested by the camera thing!0 -
You can buy little pouches to put the sensor into, which attach to your laces. Try googling Nike + sensor pouch. When I bought mine, it was about £4.
Hi all, just to let you know i bought one of these (http://!!!!!!!.com/kknd4s) on wednesday night and it arrived today, does the trick and cost next to nothing. So if anyone else is a bit hung up on wearing nike because of the nike plus sense dont worry about it0 -
Broken link there so we can't tell what you bought after all!Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0

Thats wierd it worked when i previewed it and now im not aloud to post links because im a "new user" ? Anyway i bought it from KRCS (dot co dot uk) and its called a SwitchEasy RunAway Nike Sensor holder, costs £3.82 inc vat.
Just attaches to your shoe laces, just need some new trainers which i will be getting this weekend after a Gait test!

I had some cheapo Adidas to start with, and they made my knee play up - so had the gait analysis and I over pronate, so picked up some Asics GT-2140 (recommended) and they are great! Just signed up for a half marathon today in Ipswich (Aug 30th - day after my birthday) and got another one in October. Only done one before, so hoping this motivates me to get back into it.
Agreed, Asics are by far the best running shoes.0 -
Ditto the Asics but don't go too cheap with them, I noticed a big difference going from the £40-50 ones (cumulus etc) to the £60 - £80 ones (Nimbus etc)
Nimbus all the time for me.0 -
Asics are very popular with you guys, i will make sure i push towards Asics when i get my Gait analysis.0

Depends what you need them for- Asics are great for providing a strong stable shoe, but if you need to twist and turn alot, they are not so great as they are not that flexible. Good shoe for running though!0 -
Thats good then, im a bit to old to be twisting and turning these days! :rotfl:0
