Stevie- if you turn out to be a neutral runner- get nimbus 11- they are the newest and well known with trendier runner types! (of course, try them for comfort first!) Unfortunately for me, I have a major over-pronation and only one or two types of Asics are appropriate for me, so I have never tried them myself- they look great though, and bring out a new style each year (Nimbus 10 were out last year).0

Ive never heard of Nimbus before but i will have a look, thanks for the advice. Shame about your over-pronation, at least you can still run - i was starting to think that id have to give it up for good, which would be a shame because i love getting out there!
Thanks for all the advice regarding Gait analysis again guys!0 -
I am a qualified personal trainer, and have attended several additional posture analysis workshops. The top three brands - in no particular order - are Mizuno, Saucony and Asics. HOWEVER the right brand and shoe for you completely depends upon your gait analysis, width of foot, body weight, intended use (surface/ distance) ...
Asics may make the best known running shoes, but that doesn't mean they suit everyone. I have very narrow feet and therefore Mizuno and Reebok provide my feet with the right amount of arch support and cushioning.
Highly recommend the service and prices at Sportshoes in Bradford: ask for Steve if you have any running 'niggles'. I have referred many clients with minor injuries or postural issues to him (not for financial gain) and, so far, only positive feedback.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Really appriciate the info FireFox, im actually meant to be in bradford with work this week so i may pop in. Where about is Sportshoes in bradford?0

Have to agree with Firefox. Having run marathons and ultra marathons the best thing you can do is get some gait analysis from a specialist running shop. You will generally get great service from people who know what they are talking about.
Don't get too hung up on brands. Asics tend to be the most popular shoe for runners and are a great brand but they might just not be right for you. I am running at the moment in a pair of Saucony and prior to that was Mizuno.
Also unfashionable as they may be Brooks make great running shoes!!!
cheers0 -

Exactly what I said! Brooks rule!! (though every person will have individual feet- what works for us, may not always work for other people)
-And Brooks aren't unfashionable, they just aren't mainstream. Now Gola, Donnay and LA Gear- there are some unfashionable brands!0 -
Saucony is my best choice!

Next to the Hilton hotel, underneath the NCP carpark, behind City Hall. Useless fact of the day: apparently Hilton managers voted the Bradford Hilton the worst Hilton in the world!! :eek:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
