I must say no one has been scammed by yes loans or 48 hour finance but if people took the time to read their website they would find out they are NOT LENDERS BUT BROKERS, brokers look for loans they do not give you money. but they will happily take a fee from whoever is guillable enough to apply.

If you have paid an upfront fee to a broker you will need to write in demanding your fee back as they havent found you a loan. legally they are allowed to keep £5 admin fee.

As for sending money to India or anywhere else by money transfer ie western Union well done you realy are too thick to even deserve a loan you have no concept of money or lending so dont do it.

As has said been more times than i can remember if a company wants an upfront fee or seems too good to be true and you have bad credit then it is too good to be true...

Of course they have been scammed. The company rings up, claims they have found a loan but need a fee. Okay you can argue people are stupid to send a fee but they are doing so in the belief they have a loan. They have been scammed.

  • Hi Folks yes if you are reading this I take it you have been scammed by YES Loans, if you are trying to contact them dont use the premium number they will just make more money out of you , instead call 0800 141141 its a free phone number to their sales department and they will put you on hold for about an hour before anyone answers as they think they are making money out of you but in fact these fuds are paying for the call, I have no doubt this number will be disconnected soon as I am posting it everywhere but will update with any new freephone numbers they come up with, call as often as you can cheers
  • I fell victim of the Yes loan scam about a year ago, you can get your money back but trust me it takes quite a while. They have to by law give you your money back but there is some kind process (I found this out via a thread on a other website) that is very time consumming (i think 6 months - i know it sucks but hey if you want your money back it's worth the wait) and you will not get it back until this time has passed, so no matter how much you ring, email or send them letters they will not do anything until they are obliged too. Once this time has passed send them a recorded letter and ring to confirm receipt and they will organise a refund straight away.

I got my refund within a week of this date, basically the scam is for you to pay your money and not getting the loan and thinking you have been ripped off as no-one responds and then they hope you forget about it after 4-6 months and then they pocket the money.

Hi, you'll see in my previous thread "Yes Loans - Please help" That I've had a bad experience with these idiots too. You can get them to call you so it doesn't cost you a penny. Go to their contact us page - then "Click To Talk" - put your phone number in and within minutes they phone you.

You will get through to their Sales Team, who will put you through to the so called Customer Careline - I waited an hour but eventually they answered, and it was them paying not me.

I've since checked my mobile phone bill and it definately hasn't cost me.

The thing with these plonkers is perseverance. Ring and get the Ombudsman involved. I did and thankfully I got a result andstopped them taking my money - but had they taken it - the Ombudsman said they'd fight it for me.

    Wishing you good luck

You have to write recorded delivery cancelling within 14 days - see my previous thread (Yes Loans - Please Help)- I did and they didn't take it. They were due to on the 12th but I wrote to them and cc'd it to the Ombudsman and they haven't tried to take the money.

I have a question re. the Yes loans people - are they at all related to the "Yes Car Credit" company, which was exposed in a BBC documentary back in 2005? I'm just interested and wondered if anyone knew?

These days, I rarely do anything financial without a thorough check of the MSE Forum threads - one of the top ten websites in the world, and I INCLUDE http://www.catsthatlooklikehitler.com/cgi-bin/seigmiaow.pl in that statement! ;)

    Cheers.
