Jesus, you all earn a hell of a lot!
I don't think i've even seen jobs with those kind of wages advertised on the job centre website or anything, is there some secret site I don't know of?!

I'm 19 and currently unemployed, my partner, 23, is a lab technician and he brings home about £11k a year.

Generally well paid jobs require people with specific qualifications and so they advertise on online job boards - not in the job centre. (jobsite, monster etc)

If they're REALLY well paid - then a company will employ a headhunter to find someone that fits the job spec (and quite literally the job comes to you!)

sounds great! I used to have a summer job as a cleaner, it was hard work but I loved it, and you get fit whilst doing it.

Local gov finance about 21K (tad over), pension benefits worth another couple of K on top.
Benefits the pension :-) flexi time, 36 hour week, few others.

Couldn't even begin to contribute in a meaningful way towards the household bills, if DH left me I'd be ********ed.

But I have no ambition, just like to coast along - not seeking promotion or further training, just happy doing what I'm doing.
Would like to do it closer (have to drive 7 miles to work), but thems the breaks.

I have been a cleaner for 19 years,it was great when my children were little because my jobs let me bring them along with me and when they started school I was able to drop them off go and clean and then pick them up,most jobs where I live are min wage.
