    Waiting to start negotiations regarding pay soon and hoping to get up towards 25k.

    I know that's a huge jump but the company knows they pay very low in general and need to keep the talent they have.

    30 days holiday per year plus 9.5 extra days for bank hols, extra plus flexi build up.
    Money could be better but holidays not bad at all :)

    yearly incremental payrise ( until i reach the top of the scale in 2 years)

    Ditto - at least no stress, except I wish I was 28. I seem to clean up other peoples cack anyway.

    Seen this and just had to reply...


    Prison Officer for Sodexo: £17.5k
    Based on 45-50 hours per week. (works out to be just above minimum wage at like £8.00p/h)
    Benefits aren't the best.


    Don't get paid near enough for what we do, very dangerous job and life threatening at times. But yeah I choose to do it so can't say much. Unions have been fighting for wage rises within the prison sector for the last 8 years, although they did receive a £350 wage rise for 2016. Before it was £17.2k
