I don't see how a buyer would win a PayPal claim/Credit card chargeback.
It does seem a little dishonest listing normal Monopoly cards but then again the buyer should read the auction and ask the appropriate questions prior to bidding and not assume it's a McDonald's Monopoly card.
I'm trying to work out the legalities of this, clearly if you don't mention McDonald's anywhere that complicates things.
It's what is implied though isn't it? Is it a bit like me selling a car and not mentioning that it needs a new engine as the old one just start? I've not said anywhere that it does start...
Slightly different I know but I can't think of an analogy.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
Stuff the analogy, I've been thinking of it and believe the term is 'Theft by Deception'; the seller is deliberately misleading the buyer that they are selling items of value:
a) by selling only during the McDonald's promotion
b) by selling items that normally would not be sold
and most importantly
c) knowing full well that the buyer will believe that they are buying McDonald's stickers.
I'm happy to debate smashedToyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
Absolute quality item this. It's an auction for Mc Donald's vouchers.
The auction states "Found these in the back of the car so don't know much about them" In other words "These vouchers are well minging they must have expired about 50 years ago but I can't read the dates on them cos they're covered in filth"
He goes on to say "Don't email me about this item" ...........(Cos I don't want to have to lie to you) - which is presumably why!
He then has the cheek to start the bidding at £15.50  I doubt I'd have any money left for Mc Donald's after that!!!
