Vodafone & Blackberry Storm
HELP!!!
Vodafone promoted this phone heavily in October/November last year and as a previous Blackberry addict I decided to upgrade from my Curve to this 'iphone' beater. What a mistake!!
As soon as I had received it I had problems with the radio signal and the battery life was terrible. So I rang CS who said they were aware of the problem and a new software release was imminent so just be patient. Three weeks later I rang again. They then denied there were any problems but confirmed there was a new software release coming. Eventually in December the software was released but the problem was not fixed. I asked them to cancel my contract but was told I was now outside the 14 days allowed for cancellation. I had been trapped by them into this 24 month contract.
Eventually earlier this month (6 months after the release) RIM provided another software update unknown to Vodafone. But the original problems still exist.
Vodafone now say they are only responsible for the airtime contract and the handset problems are RIM's. Contacted RIM who refer me back to Vodafone.
Vodafone's Customer Forum is inundated with users complaining about the phone but all we get is 'this has been escalated to the highest level, please be patient'.
Over 500 users can't be wrong but Vodafone treat us with total contempt. £35 per month on a 24 month contract for a phone that won't accept calls, drops calls and a battery that lasts 6 hours if you are lucky (Vf's website still says it is 15 days on standby).
How can we users get this issue resolved.
