I don't think you'll be effected. Any cars registered before 1st March 2001 still pay the fixed amount.

Can anyone help me out please?

Having passed my test 2 weeks ago I've just had an offer accepted on a car. Its a Y reg 2001 ford focus lx 1.6. Can anyone tell me what the road tax will be? I dont know which part of the page I am meant to be looking at on the DVLA site.

have a look at your log book it tells you about the emmisions then compare it to the site.
