Does anyone know how I can buy this phone whilst keeping my original Virgin mobile number? I lost my old phone yesterday and was looking for a replacement when I found this thread. Obviously it would be a lot easier to keep my old number but I can't find this option on the order page and when I go to upgrade your phone this offer is not available..."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

As you have lost your phone I assume the simcard is still in the phone. I would suggest you register your old number on the Virgin website and then report it as lost or stolen whatever applies. They should then cancel that particular simcard and re-issue you with another simcard with your old number and any credit remaining on it.
I had to report a phone lost/stolen and Virgin blocked it and sent out a new sim with the old number. However as this phone is coming with a sim with credit on it you won't be able to transfer that credit over on to your old simcard.
Always worth registering your number on the Virgin website as you can then buy their phones/reconditioned phones without a simcard at £10 less and have the knowledge that they can very quickly block a stolen/lost phone and sim.
You can also track calls and credit on the Virgin website and although the phone I lost was reported within half an hour it had been used and I could see which numbers had been called.
Of course this being a Nokia phone it is easily unlocked and can then be used by another network's simcard0 -
Do you have to buy the sim card with this Nokia? I guess so otherwise the phone will cost £17.99, it's just I have got too many of the virgin sims with the £5 credit in it and I do not use virgin. A few days ago, I sold a virgin voucher for £15 as it was sitting in my drawer.0

Thanks to the OP :T
I managed to get this offer but had to order over the telephone. Although I could see the offer on the screen, when I went to checkout it only showed a £10 voucher and no 10% off.
Anyway, managed to get the telephone order through OK and the phone was delivered on Saturday.
Many thanks0 -

The Siemens AX72 on the Virgin site is the same price with the same credit included. I don't know what it is like but it has a much higher spec, including colour screen, MMS, Downloadable games etc.0

Just ordered.
Luckily I have a friend on Virgin who'll buy the voucher off me so it'll work out at £6.99!0 -
