Don't use CIF on a plastic sink. It's abrasive and will scratch the surface, and those small scratches will end up accumulating crud - meaning it'll stain more easily in the future.

  • I've seen everything now - the kitchen sink and draining board in my new house are made of white plastic, with a really fine textured pattern on the surface - so obviously all kinds of filth gets ingrained in it and won't come off. Tea stains it badly too.

Any tips on cleaning this kind of material? Cos it just looks horrible all the time. Can't beleive someone thought it was a good idea.

    Hi clutterydrawer,

There's an earlier thread with lots more suggestions that may help so I'll add your thread to it to keep the ideas together.
