In a similar vein to a recent post about stainless steel sinks, does anybody have any tips for cleaning plastic ones?
Thanks

Mine is bleaching as we speak, but it won't keep it clean for very long!

I've got a magic stain remover block thing from Lakeland a couple of years ago and it's fabby. You just rub it gently onto the marks and they vanish.

Astonish sell a tub of white cleaning paste for about a pound.
Using a wet cloth rub a little of the paste into stains and rinse.
It works really well on ny sink but sometimes takes a bit of elbow grease."This site is addictive!"

I have been thinking about this for a while and thinking back to the stained Tupperware thread from a while back. I used to do home brew few years back and seem to remember that my mash tub used to get really grotty and It used to come up sparkly white with a stuff called Chempro. I know it is no longer made but there are equivalents available from home brew shops.

I used to have a white plastic sink in a previous home.
The only way we could clean it nicely was with liquid dishwasher detergent. Vicious stuff so be careful!
Smear it on all over the sink and drainer if you have one. Leave a few minutes and then gently rub away until snowy white. Rinse thoroughly.
The reason you have to do all of it is that it works so well, that any areas you have not cleaned look grubby in comparison.
Hopefully they still do this stuff in liquid form, if not, make a paste of the powder as I seem to remember that does work on my Belfast sinks.
Sorry it is not an environmentally friendly solution0
