And in the description does he mean to write Balthazar Slytherin or does he actually mean Salazar? And Gryffindor doesn't have an e on the end.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0

"This work by furniture maker / wood carver Cassian Garbett was originally intended for the Harry Potter creator, J K Rowling. "
Did she reject it then? Don't blame her frankly.....£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Frankly, it is a very nice item but I don't think it merits that price tag - as someone else said, if it had been in the film then maybe for a collector with cash to burn then it would be the perfect item. As for the book, I think I'd rather read my Harry Potter books that cost 20-50p at a car boot sale, you can't enjoy a book more because it is signed or first edition.0

I sent a message saying "Hi there, this is a lovely piece of furniture, but I'm a bit concerned as it appears part of the motto is wrong? The actual motto is: Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus. Titillandus has 2 Ls? However there appears to only be one on this item? Is it just a bad pic, or is there only 1 L? Thanks." I was trying not to sound cheeky.... lol
I sent it at about 20 to 10 last night..... No reply yet. :rotfl:.•

I hope he does reply, I wonder what he will say

Ha ha I don't think he will reply, I know I wouldn't if somebody pointed out such an obvious mistake on an expensive item!
Judging by all the schoolboy errors, I'd hazard a guess that he's not a fan

I'm not holding my breath for a reply!
Imagine finishing it, standing back to look at it & realising you'd missed out a letter! .•

Maybe that's why it was only intended for JK Rowling and never actually belonged to her, because she picked up on that mistake with the spelling too?

I think if you're trying to sell something to hardcore harry potter fans/collectors, you need to get the little details right and this seller doesn't. Plus who in their right mind would buy this when the seller has no feedback at all?? Think happy & you'll be happy

Hiya, I noticed this a few days ago and emailed the guy to ask him to add a close up pic of the crest, to show the intricacy you understand
. I've not had a reply yet and it's been about 4 or 5 days so I doubt that he'll do so now.
I too reckon Jo didn't want it cos it had spelling errors!
It's only a game
