I do stay clear of feedback threads..honest!
However from a buyers point of view i must ask you why you buy on ebay , is it to get things you want or to get feedback? Also, feedback as a buyer is completely menaingless, you can only get positives and quantity hardly matters as sellers can't ban you anyway unless you are a non payer, so again why even spend a milisecond thinking about feedback?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. That wouldn't put many scammers off though, as proof of postage is nowhere near proof of deliverywillowthecat wrote: »I've stopped selling on eBay now, as since the change in feedback policy, buyers think that they can demand the Earth, otherwise the seller gets negative feedback whether they deserve it or not!
Plus, I've seemed to have more buyers trying it on and saying that they haven't received a particular item. Luckily, I don't send many parcels so I always get a proof of postage. Funny how the item mysteriously appears in their letterbox, after you've e-mailed a copy of the proof of postage
Coupled with the obscene charges for using Paypal, I've got to the point now where I either car boot my stuff or give it to a charity shop!
We've not had much trouble lately- 1 echeque to clear, one (although heading for two) NPB cases open, and one non arrival (a regular, so it probably actually erm, hasn't arrived
). Not bad considering the amount of stuff that we shift
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

Buyer feedback is meaningless now - everyone has 100%, so all it serves is as an ego feeder.
Out of interest, to all those people on this thread who are giving up, how many are private sellers, and how many are business sellers....?
All part of the eBay long term plan maybe...?<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
Ive had a few problems recently & am a private seller.
A month or so ago I was thinking of bootfairs instead, but this past week I have had some really nice sellers & buyers which has restored my faith in ebay.0 -
I'm a private seller too, I've had a few problems with buyers in the last 6 months (3 items not received in one week
) but all going ok at the moment.
I do think about giving up Ebay as I get fed up with hassle for items I've only sold for a few quid, but I can get much more for my unwanted clothes on Ebay than I can at the boot sales where I'd have to sell at £1 a piece.0
