Giving up selling on Ebay for now....

I knew my brain wouldn't let me down. 15th october on the ebid thread you mentioned
I would be interested in your experience of ebid as i seem to be mentioning it on threads at least once a day now.
hahaa, the ones who can't be bothered to research are always copped by the ones who will. No, I didn't do that: the intent subsequently was to carry on with both till I get a proper job (when I will drop Ebay like a hot wotsit).
However I've been so mental busy I've let all my Ebid listings expire. Intending to put them back on and more when I've got a spare minute. Whatever that is.0 -
I think Ebay is being taken over by the loonies! Ive had some real dingers in the last few weeks, including 1 guy who complained i posted his item out TOO QUICKLY. It arrived the next day but he didnt want it for another week
.
The best one tho was a guy who did a BIN for a gift at Christmas, then emailed me and said he didnt want it coz it was for his mum and she had died! Obviously, I just cancelled the sale and emailed him to say dont worry about it, really sory about your mum, etc. Two weeks later he bought it again and said sorry, he was wrong, she wasnt dead after all :eek::eek::eek::eek:.:kisses2:

Please update the ebid thread when you get going again, the regular sellers appear to have disappeared and I can't even see that they are still posting happy news on the ebid forums either. I think it is useful to have the ebid thread running just to remind people they are still there, especially when we get so many brand new users just 'finding' new sites every day, that are all 'ebid lite' types of clones.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've not been too bad with buyers this last few weeks, all paid promptly and left feedback.. I am however, having issues with 2 sellers. 1 had not posted items after 8 days, but did refund me (although its 'pending' through paypal) another seller ignored my emails for 9 days about when the items had been posted but somehow managed to learn how to respond when i opened a dispute...She's posting 'tomorrow' apparently (9 days after i paid!) :mad:If google doesn't know it, how should i?0

I'm a private seller just getting rid of accumulated bits and bobs and recently I've had several 0 and low feedback buyers not paying for their items, not communicating in any way, asking if I'll wait ages for payment, almost demanding that I accept cheques etc. etc.
So, I'm having a break. Is this silly season I wonder? Is anyone else having more problems than usual??
I got rid of my eBay account well over a year ago and never looked back. Whenever I occasionally check this forum I am well reminded of what a good decision I made.
There's still plenty of other ways of shifting tat without involving the twin evils of eBay and PayPal - long may it continue.0 -

LOL. Priceless!
I haven't had a single problem buyer on ebay (so far!)- but I think maybe it varies on lot depending on the kind of things you sell. I've mainly been selling my old videos and games so I guess collectors are the main market, and maybe more likely to be seasoned ebayers, or it might be the things I sell are less likely to be impulse bought0 -
This furthur reinforces that people on ebay will say ANYTHING to get what they want. And that's why I wouldn't trust anyone as far as I can throw them. Unbelievable! The best one tho was a guy who did a BIN for a gift at Christmas, then emailed me and said he didnt want it coz it was for his mum and she had died! I,ve had my first problem, a buyer who said, the goods were damaged. The origonal price was £30.00, she got it for 2, it was in perfect condition when I posted it, pictures on ebay to prove it. Her feedback merely said clasp broken stone missing, a bit unfair as I thought we were still communicating. I think she just didnt like the item in the flesh., so to speak.:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o

I am the opposite I dont sell I buy and cant get sellers to leave me feedback despite leaving them fantastic feedback and paying immediately. I dont get it. Seems everyone on ebay is not nice any more. There are a lot of scammers out there both sellers and buyers ad I think everyone is just tarring everyone with the same brush.0
