o2 router keeps losing internet

It could be that you're just on the wrong profile for the condition of your line i.e. they might be trying to force the internet down too quick (in simple terms!) and so ends up not working very well at all!Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

02 technical support have given you pretty poor information there, I'd expect them to tell you if your connection to the exchange is intermittent or the connection just to thier network.
"I have tried different router, new filters , in the test socket and still my internet connection drops out every 60secs "
The above tells me you have pretty much ruled out your equipment causing the issue. You need to remain in the test socket but you should also unplug all other sockets in the house incase you got some diy job comming from the test socket.
If 02 say your copper line check is passing and and you have a clear dial tone there isnt much point in calling your telephone providor they will tell you to get stuffed and rightly so.
I dont know what broadband platform your on but sounds like you have a straight forward case that should be progressing via BT Wholesale.
Why do you want to purchase another faceplate? you have tested from the TS.
You have done all checks you can, your ISP is failing to supply you with a service you are paying for. I think you need to pick up the phone.
02 at its best lol :T0 -
I think Slimzee has made the best point - ie you really need some better support from o2.
A couple of points IF you hadn't had similar issues with trying another modem/modems on the line:
1. You don't say WHICH o2 box it is - eg o2 Box II ? They are PRONE to overheating and there are various tips to try to maximise chance for air circulation.
2. Have you tried a factory reset on the o2 box and/or have they talked you through reflashing the box ? My second o2 box (not II, the first o2 box having failed) well a bit dotty and reflashing it sorted it.

UPDATE !!
ok peeps , after days of very frustrating fault finding ,its not the router, internal wiring or a problem with the line  o2 have upped my noise level again
to 16db , which i thought they did
after the first call , but apparently it was dropped back down to 8db
.Now everthing seems to be ok ,been in the test socket now for 2 days and no drop outs , i am convinced this was an o2 issue , shame really because they advised me to get my internal wiring checked  no need !!, and one of those nte5 faceplates  no need !!! COULD HAVE LOST A LOT OF MONEY
Thanks to this site and the peeps who know what there talking about .
Be aware o2 customers , looks like the level of service/knowledge is dropping
