Anyone heard of TerminalA.co.uk?

Hello everyone
I searched for cheap flights using skyscanner.net. It recommended TerminalA.com as having a good deal.
I filled in all my details (debit card details, passport details, passenger names) and I got a response today asking me for a photocopy of my passport and also a photocopy of both sides of my debit card together with a signed form giving my consent to make the charge to my card.
I've never heard needing signed permission to charge a debit card. The company is based in Spain and i think they're legitimate but them asking for all these details made me wary a bit.
Anyone heard of them/used them before?
Thank you

I have heard of them but having booked numerous flights with various domestic and overseas airlines on the internet I have never encountered this, and would be reluctant to comply. You should be able to find out the airline they are using though and book directly with them at the same price, without providing this sensitive paperwork.0

Thanks for your advice. Do you know where i would stand in terms of getting hit with a cancellation charge? As they have my debit card they could automatically apply this?
Thanks again0 -
They advertise seats for Easy Jet ?
Seems an odd set up .
On terms and Conditions
11. Is it possible to cancel a Booking after having bought the ticket? Can I ask for a refund?
The Bookings are definitive. Terminal A will issue all booked tickets. Terminal A does not cancel Bookings because it issues the tickets after the Bookings are made, usually automatically after verifying the credit card or the payment through bank transfer. If you are not able to travel You should ask for a Refund or use your Cancellation Insurance if it is applicable. In order to get your money back in case of unforeseen circumstances such as health problems, we suggest you contract the Cancellation Insurance whenever available.
Refunds are effected by the airline companies and are subject to fare conditions. The cheapest fares, also known as discount fares or “Tourist with Restrictions” fares (identified in the website as “CHANGE/REFUND RESTRICTED” under step 2 of fare regulations) usually ARE NOT refundable. Terminal A suggests you purchase the Cancellation Insurance, if it is available. Terminal A charges an extra 25 € charge for refund processing plus the charge that the airline company might establish.
10. I have bought a ticket and there is a double charge on my credit card. Why is that?
If you have paid a ticket with a debit card, there will be a temporary double charge on your card. This double charge is a withholding of the total amount of the ticket and another charge for the total amount of the ticket.
The withholding will automatically disappear within a period of one week to one month. This temporary withholding exists in every travel agency and is related to the operations among banks, the debit card issuers and IATA.
I am not sure why you booked in the first place with a company you have not heard of then gave your details and then asked if anyone knows anything about them ?
Always on a new company ask first and read the Terms and Conditions.
Looks as though they are Kosher been going for 6 years and have €200,000 capital.

Hi
Its naivety on my part, i assumed that because their was a link through skyscanner they'd be reputable (stupid i know)
The website looks legit so i thought it looked reputable. It's only when they asked for this information that the alarm bells started ringing...0 -
Have had a quick look at their T&C's and doesn't look that easy. Would call your bank in the morning and ask for their advice as to sending the copies etc.0

Thank you
Just spoke to Emirates who confirmed they have a provisional booking on their central system which match the details i gave to Terminal A. He doesn't deal with the third party companies so couldn't check up on Terminal A. The gentleman at Emirates stated that if the booking hasn't been 'ticketed' by the 1st June it'll automatically cancel without any charge from them - don't know if Terminal A would charge however.
Their email stated that as the flight is over £400.00 they require proof as they have dealt with many instances of fraud.
I'll give them a ring in the morning though
Was getting a bit worried but Emirates have emailed me the confirmation they recieved which put my mind at rest a bit.
Thank you very much everyone0 -
Glad you've had some positive info, would still talk to your bank though, that is a lot of personal information to part with, the likes of BA etc deal with sums far in excess of this without documentation.0

Hi everyone
So, spoke to my bank this morning. They told me that if i sent this information and i was subsequently a victim of fraud they wouldn't help as i had willingly provided the information.
I then range TerminalA and advised them i wasn't comfortable providing my card details - especially the three digit security number. The really helpful lady advised me that i can blank out the security and my bank account number and as long as the card number and the signature matched the form i had to sign it'd be fine...almost like in the 'old' days where you had to sign to pay by card.
Anyway, i faxed it over and within a few hours i'd recieved my etickets. Checked on Emirate's own website and all flights are showing as booked and confirmed.
On this occasion, the website i used turned out to be trustworthy and everything turned out to be well. But in future i'll be checking and double checking all the details before i make a purchase.
Thank you everyone for your advice
