Korky i am sorry to hear about you responce form the school..you can see now why i was worried. Is there anything you can say to them to change it? like others have said what is the worst that can happen if you do go anyway? not encouraging time off even though i have asked for it as we to a certain extent have some restrictions but still worth a try in asking again?

ive been waiting for a call since monday, looks like the headmaster's gone on holiday :T

i actually agree-ish with not allowing time off, but they must give certain exceptions,
puzzles me why it got knocked back when its impossible to get a lower score on their system???
i blame the tour ops for hiking up prices
