Are you going to cancel if someone comes along and says it's awful? Stunnoire went a week ago and said it's lovely, clean and tidy - go with that, and have a good time. Scarborough, Whitby and Brid are great places and I wish I was going next week!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

No I'm not going to cancel, just getting prepared incase we have to cut the holiday short as I dont want us to stay in a dirty filthy caravan with stained sheets etc. My 2 year old is really excited about it and dont want him to be disappointed.0

If you get peckish and want fish n chips there is a nice chippy in Hunmanby (2 miles away) just down the road, its right near the church on main street
Flamborough head is a nice place for a visit although big climb to pebbled beach from cliffs ist not far to Bridlington, I hear parking is cheap at Brid
Scarborough nice place to visit too, especially castle/beach. Near castle is where Anne bronte is buried at St Marys church I was married there. Very lovely oldie world down there and nice view from castle to both bays lovely picture views and a kids playground below castle entrance 5 minutes to beach from them although steep climb down paths/steps0 -
We went at the end of easter, walked into the caravan and was greeted by huge holes in the walls where someone had decided to punch them, wallpaper hanging off the walls & toilet seat in the kitchen sink !
We did complain and got put in a top of the range caravan on the seafront
Primrose Valley is a really nice park and loads to do for the kids, good chinese take away in the back left corner of the camp too.
Great entertainment, i noticed the funstars have had a makeover and wear suits in the evening LOL , Bradley & Rory and all the characters keep the kids entertained, there are 2 huge entertainment venues , one of them is aimed at kids and the other has bands & comediens for exaple0 -
Can't comment on PV as I live in Scarborough, but Playdale Farm should be good for your 2 year old. You can feed most of the animals in the barn, and they let you give the lambs a bottle of milk too. There's a massive indoor soft play area if it rains, and bales of straw in another barn that children love climbing over. Also has a cafe if you don't want to bring your lunch. I've organised pre school visits there, and now my primary school is going this month too.
The North Bay beach is probably the nicer at Scarborough, but as mentioned there is a lot of (locally contoversial) developement going on there at the moment, but it means many amenities have been lost.0 -

surprised at how well maintained the place was.
pool and adventure pool are great.
the rides would be graet for your child and they are cheap.
good childrens entertainment.
chinese restaurant v. cheap takeaway. so was the fish and chip shop. burger king on site. service in the barrel and mash restaurant was slow.
very very few chavs on site.
overall good value for money.0 -

Just back today from Primrose Valley and have to say I was worrying about nothing. We got a great 3 bed caravan which had an ensuite to the main bedroom and another seperate shower room, it also had a very large lounge and kitchen, we were all very impressed. We were also situated in the middle of the park in Cedar Vale which was very handy for both of the entertainment/swimming pools and the play park. Have to say that we did not really enjoy the fun pool, felt the changing areas were not cleaned regularly enough but thought the other indoor pool was excellent and always very clean. We went to Flamingo Land which my 2 year old loved and so did my 35 year old husband!! We also went to Playdale farm and was really a bit disappointed, it had more play areas than animals and not very many animals outside, I was expecting a bit more, like tractor rides, pony/donkey rides etc as farms we have visited in the past have these.
We all had a great time and would recommend Primrose Valley as long as you opt for a better graded caravan because some of them looked old and small and very close together.0
