hiya, not been to pv but been to blue dolphin down the road and to lakeland and wales. you'll be fine in a prestige caravan..we've always found them quite nice.
don't miss the Rory tiger show each evening..usually around 6pm ish,the kids love it and thats what it's all about is'nt it? scarborough not too far away with a nice little beach and a castle to visit.0 -
There is two beaches, North bay less developed and South bay more commercialised
Between North bay and south bay is the castle headland. The last 2 days they have been running a ww2 thing as I can see/hear the ww2 planes fly overt our house on to sea/castlemissindecisive wrote: »hiya, not been to pv but been to blue dolphin down the road and to lakeland and wales. you'll be fine in a prestige caravan..we've always found them quite nice.

OP Scarborough is around 6 miles away roughly from PV. Filey around 2. Brid around 8. Whitby around 25
Several supermarkets in Scarborough. Sainsburys/Tesco's in just on outer edge of town centre, parking is fine. Morrisons on edge of Scarborough0 -
i have been to primrose valley and stayed in a prestige caravan and it was absolutely brilliant. it really was a home from home and very clean etc. the park is also extremely good and has been recently refurbished to a high standard. we went to blue dolphin aswell and would definitely only return to primrose valley as the facilities and park are so much better. im sure you will have a great time.0

We went to PV at Easter with the sun holidays and it was our 3rd time there. I upgraded to a superior caravan and requested a quiet location ( Laurel Rise is a good location as its literally a 30 second walk to the complex but a nice and quiet area ). We got a fantastic van with central heating and a large decked area.
PV is nice and clean and over the years they have landscaped the park alot more. The new pool complex is great and our 3 and 6 year old loved it. We took a trip to the John Bull Rock Factory which is just outside Bridlington. Think we paid about £2 each and the kids rolled there own rock. Plus there is a huge soft play right next door.
We got the bus from the park into Scarborough one day which was great. On time and the kids loved it.
You will have a great time0 -
I stayed at Primrose Valley a couple of years ago. When we got there we were told we had a free upgrade to a silver van - absolutely lovely. You can get to the beach from the site and have a lovely walk to Filey where we had some fantastic fish and chips0

I returned from PV on Thursday. Me and 3 children just could not manage another night of bingo, who's the best dancer, bingo, who's the best dancer, bingo, who's the best dancer and who's the best party dance dancer! ! The highlight of the week was a magician. Biggest letdown was "Summer High",this seasons hyped show.........painfully bad! PV is a lovely site, very clean and tidy, just a shame about the tragic entertainment! We stayed in a standard caravan which was clean and tidy and was only a stones throw away from the entertainment complex. The bandwagon PV has jumped on this year is that they have employed Craig Walmesly of Britain's Got Talent fame ( he did the baton twirling),so do expect him to be mentioned constantly! To be fair,we got our moneys-worth from the swimming pools and visited them every day. We visited the Sealife Centre in Scarborough which the kids loved. (Michaela Strachan was there when we went, releasing 2 seals back to the wild). Discount tickets for Sealife are available from PV reception,or use the Tesco BOGOF tickets. My main gripe would have to be the lack of availability to book water/sport activities for the kids. No-one seemed to know when you could book these activities, and after spending 2 evenings being told to return at 6,6.30,7,7.30 etc and still no joy,we gave up! If you are not fussed about the evening entertainment, then PV is a great site with a lot to offer and I'm sure you will enjoy it!0
