Ok, seriously now, next time they do it, ask them why they think it's acceptable to park on your land, and when they cant answer, ask them if they would like to park elsewhere. Then if they dont shift them, park them in and go on holiday. There isnt anything they can do legally, they're trespassing and have no right to be there.
They might think about scratching your car or something, so make sure they see the CCTV camera that you've installed recently (dummies can be bought quite cheaply).
If you let them walk all over you, they'll continue to do so and it'll annoy the hell out of you.0 -
Just put up gates.

Stick some dirty military clothes on (ebay, fancydress section), put a rambo bandana on (cheap on ebay) and paint yourself in mud (or horse manure, whatever's available to hand). Go out and threaten everyone parking there with a large survival knife (ebay). Look menacing. All the best.0

Put up a sign stating that any cars parked there will be clamped and charged a £250 release fee. Next time they park there clamp them - they won't do it again, and if they do you're quids in...0

Did the google street view cameras catch them in the act?
Do the visits tend to arrive on a regular basis, and on the same day every time? If so, just make your driveway inaccessible to them on those days.
If it's a double width driveway, park your car half on the street and half on your driveway, at a right angle to the direction of the drive, so the length of your car covers the width of the drive?0 -
do you speak to the people across the road? if i were you every time i saw a car there i'd go and knock and ask them to move, say you are expecting a visitor .. i wouldnt put up with it.. notes are ok but they can start nasty disputes... better to try face to face and be polite, i'd start from the assumption that they are doing it innocently not realising its your driveway and you are just letting them know and see what their attitude is, they might be apologetic .. failing that park your car at an angle so you are taking up the 2 spaces yourself and you can move your car if you have a visitor...
i hate neighbour disputes.. we used to live in flats with a communal carpark but with designated spaces and theres that sinking feeling when someone is parked in your space as you then have to park in someone elses space and then its notes on cars and bad feeling... my other half gets perpetually wound up by people parking on the road outside our house now.. its public road with no parking restrictions so i cant see how anything can be done about it.
are there other places in the road they could park or its it all restricted or double yellow?0 -
Daughter used to get mad as downstairs neighbour parked across the drive blocking her garage but as she does not have a car, she put up with it. When she has visitors, she told them to leave it free. She did that just to avoid the hassle of arguments. Thanks god she will be moving in her own place soon. It would really have upset me if my neighbours did that, I even get annoy if people use my driveway to reverse. If only they have the decency to ask your permission first.0

See this sort of thing would annoy the living daylights out of me!!
I would try the talking approach first then if you get nowhere the sticky note or the blocking in..we had a sticky note on our car when i parked it at dh's work one day(private car park) and new/different car i was livid as really hard to get off and right in drivers way..they never knew it was his car and aplogised profusly..we now have a car pass in the front!! let us know how you get on x0 -

I agree with that! dd's best friends nan backed into our drive last weekend (aful driver for reversing!) and took a big chunk of wall off so not happy! i would hate it if people did it all the time though!0 -
Personally, I think it's daft to get het up over someone using the driveway just to reverse as long s they don't do any damage. As for the person who gets annoyed about people parking on the road outside their house, I can't think of anything more petty and unreasonable: the street is a public highway and anyone can park there, it's not reserved for the residents even though the resident might feel it is "their spot".0
