Some advice please, We live in a cul-de- sac, we have a double drive way and when the people across the road have lots of visitors, they park in our driveway without our consent, we have asked them not to, as we use it ourselves, So what do we do? And they have visitors a lot.

Put up a sign pointing out your private land?0

Do you have a car? If so, park it at the end of your driveway so they can't.
If you don't have a car, put something on the driveway that will prevent a car being driven onto it.
If you do have a car, and you sometimes want to park your car, but sometimes want to go away and don't want them to park, then install one of those hinged bollards, that you can fold down and fold up as appropriate.
If you own the ground to each side of the driveway, install gateposts and put a gate between them.
I'd suggest buying a wheel clamp but that's probably too combative....0 -
Who did you ask not to? the neighbours or their friends?0

Thanks for your replies, Yes we have a car, But they will park beside it!!!!! And as I say it is open plan, But it is quite clear that it is our property, But maybe as you say put a sign up0

Well both, first of all the neighbour, and I know there are two sides to a story, but as we have complained about her children, (first ever post) Well she does not pay any attention to us, and no it is not a slanging match. Also it is different people who park, sooooooo0

Could you get some nice ornamental heavy flower pots to stick in the middle of the drive??!0

I'd park at an angle across the drive so they can't park on it. It would be a pain because you'd have to move your car if you had visitors but I think I'd make the effort

Let them park there. Then park them in. Then catch the bus to go shopping, for the afternoon. Or why not go camping for the weekend? They'll not do it again!!0

Ciano: I like the way you think! BUT it might just be enough to start a really ugly neighbourly dispute.0

leave stuff on your drive, bikes, wheely bins, etc. at least make it a chore for them to use your drive.0
