I'm glad you've all been busy while I was away! I somehow don't think I'll catch up this week.

I'm glad to hear that toots is doing OK, and that she knows we're thinking of her. Thanks for the update soappie. If anyone speaks to her, please send her my love.

rach - don't get too worried about the scan results until you've talked further to your GP. It's worth trying things like acupunture and reflexology. Diet and exercise are important, so a nutrionist (make sure they're qualified) might help. I'm in the opposite situation to you - it was assumed I had PCOS for years, as I was told that it wasn't worth doing a scan unless I was trying to concieve... when I had a scan for something else, it turned out that I don't . My reflexologist can tell when I'm ovulating, and I've also learnt to read the signs myself... one of my friends swears that her acupuncturist was responsible for her conceiving so quickly (her husband reckons he had something to do with it :D)

Rose - toots will be really pleased to hear that you're working so hard for her. Maybe you can think about her while you're doing the washing up and send her healing thoughts - it'll take your mind off the washing up. Glad you had a lovely time at the theatre. How's the walking going?

soappie - all that space :T How about a photographic studio and a support office for plan B :D

mudbath - peacocks need LOTS of space. And you're right about the noise. I used to swim at a friend's house, and they had peacocks which would strut up and down outside the glass doors, looking at their reflections - it was a bit creepy, as it felt like they were watching you :rotfl::rotfl:

fedupandskint - windows... I use microfibre cloths and water. I wash with an ordinary cotton dishcloth, dry with a coarse microfibre cloth and polish with a microfibre glass cloth.

I had a lovely time with my friend. We went out for dinner (walked to a local restaurant!) and caught up. Then this morning I walked from her house to my course (about 20 minutes), which was great - lovely people and I learnt lots. I went for a walk in my lunchbreak, and then walked back to collect my stuff and then got the train home - so lots of walking to make up for missing my walk yesterday (I forget how much more walking people tend to do in cities when using public transport than in the country where the car is outside the door and everything is miles away!). I'm going to see my brother tomorrow to pick up some ik*a bits that his fiancee bought for me, and show him the cakes. I'll ask him to take some photos and see whether I can post them on the yahoo site for you all to admire  There are 6 of them... and although they have their imperfections, I know how to make them better next time!

Right... flying... umm... must try to work out what I need to cover this weekend. I definitely need to mow back and front, and tidy up enough to run the dyson round the whole house. I think I'll make some supper and have an earlyish night tonight, as I've got a lot to fit in tomorrow!

Evening - busy day here, working, walking dogs, washing stuff etc. All such fun!

Re: the peacocks....they won't be able to wander anywhere as they're in the small front garden of a three bedroomed semi. I kid you not...the garden and drive is about 20 foot by ten foot. It faces quite a busy road with a low fence between the garden and the road. They must be totally mad!

Re: pegs - mmmm, FF - you're right, every time I peg out the washing I think 'this is obsessive' - I will be random tomorrow so I can join your gang again:rotfl:.

DD staying up to watch the final of Britain's Got Talent - i've done well to avoid it being on until tonight! First of all I need to see if I can get the tv to work .... not looking good! xx

Mudbath - can you not call them before Monday? I'm pretty sure their helpline is 24 hours. Just worried the peacocks could get quite distressed by Mon

Valli - you been drinking?!! :rotfl:

My head is not coping today - last night all went a bit wrong and now I don't know what to do! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  Might watch a film - if I ignore things, they might go away

    Not yet:D

s'true though - peacock used to be a delicacy and they CAN fly - but they don't often, so those two factors may go some way to explaining why they're caged PLUS when all the neighbours are well and truly fed up with their screeching they may well need protection.

Where I lived in Oswaldtwistle, as a kid, there were peacocks in the park (and fountains played and I might have been kidnapped by gypsies LOL) anyway there were and they were exceedingly noisy - looking that good they don't need to sound good..and they don't.

Waits for flyladies to google Oswaldtwistle LOL

So they might have been locked up so they don't end up on someone's plate LOL

    aww Froddy (((hugs)))

BTW I don't understand grateful's post about Nicki and the bath/shower.
    Anyone? ***feels naive***
