Like alot of people we saw this mess coming, that is why we took the back exit and left to Norway. We wasn't in any trouble but thought it would be nice jump ship for a year or two to see how things pan out.
We let our place out 11 months ago to a brilliant tenant, who actually wants to extend the let at last years rental value, were not complaining.
To be honest we don't know what we're going to do, we want the money to build or buy here, but at the same time we like having the rental income. If only we had a crystal ball ...:o
Has the OH ever been to Norway?.
No.. TBH I would love to live there but would have nothing to do. I was thinking more like New Zealand or Canada, possibly doing the Expat thing for a few years, but this is all bye the bye, I have a Looong contract to fulfil with my current employer (clue) and am actually very happy at the mo. Can definately see wanting to emmigrate though once I am finished with the 'mob'.0

New Zealand is a lovely place with the kindest people on the planet. I was there for a bit in 98, very similar scenery to Norway in fact.
Australia is another nice place, you can buy a three bed detached, with a pool and a Barbie in Queensland or Perth for around £125,000. Bit far away if you miss your family though.
 I know nothing about Canada... 0 0
