 Supposedly 25% :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
 Look at the other areas in Wiltshire. All are deeply negative. So, pray tell, is North Wiltshire positive?
 Something is sus with those figures. Local Surveyor I was chatting to was saying that due to exceptionally low volumes of sales and lower value properties not shifting was massively distorting the figures... It was suggested that Robbie moving to Compton Bassett and spending over 6 mill on a single property combined with record low volume were contributory factors!
 Big problem with the LR is it doesnt include Auction properties, or reposessions.
 Job in Banak involved practicing landing big aircraft on snow. Great fun!0

 Looking at the LR and on Rightmove at the latest activity in the Wiltshire area only gives me confidence that we can sell the house.
 There will be people downsizing that have the money and actually like the house, these are the people that will be willing to pay closer to the asking price.
 I was looking on ourproperty at recent sale prices in our road. A house similar to ours just sold for £4000 less then what they paid for it in Q4 2006, so your guess that house prices are at Q3 2003 levels is way off.:D0

 I'm afraid not....and my search terms aren't finding the right thread on the economy board....doubt it was massive TBH. (I'm generally bearish ATM but it doesn't make sense to ignore figures that don't suit my thoughts (I'm generally bearish ATM but it doesn't make sense to ignore figures that don't suit my thoughts ). I vaguely noticed because Wiltshire is a country we are looking in, but I didn't panic....so can' have been to heinous. ). Come back and say that after you have sold it. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
 If you can... :eek::eek::eek:
 If you can find a mug that will pay Q4 2006 prices, pair game. But the spring bounce is running out of steam and prices are still falling.... Make sure you don't chase the market down in small chunks. Sometimes its worth a one-time hit to guarantee a sale.0

            I think your probally right, I'm willing to let the house go for
 £175,000.
 We are living in Norway right now and we want to buy land to build on. House prices are on the rise here :beer:
 At least there's some realistic people selling out there - had to explain twice to an EA today that it's irrelevant what I can afford/am willing to pay but what value the bank is going to come back with that matters0

            I sold and bought in Wiltshire moved in 2 weeks ago, all 5 properties that we were slightly interested in have all sold sstc. Infact if we were looking now there would be nothing in area I wanted to move to in our price range.0

 There is good activity in the Chippenham area, which can only be a good sign.
 Not every buyer is out to slaughter the seller. Some people actually like a house and want to live in it for 10/15 years or more. These kind of people won't be worried about a few thousand pounds, especially when interest rates are so low right now.
