Poor you DT :( sorry to hear you're a bit down.

I agree with all the above. Regular walking, gentle at first then building it up so you go further and faster is as good an exercise as any.

There are always women on various diets in my office, from WW to diet pills (not recommended), but we do share what works and what doesn't.

Current favourite is NUTRACHECK. You can sign up for a free 5 day trial, then pay monthly or in 3/6 month chunks. It is basically a calorie counting food diary.

You weigh yourself, put in your height, target weight loss and how much you want to lose a week and it works out your target number of calories per day. If you have a night out planned, or tend to eat more on a weekend, you can set it so that you are allocated more calories for those days.

There is an exercise section, where even housework is given a value. You can also take other measurements - like waist, arms to track your progress on bar charts.

It might be worth a look, as you can control it, plus there are daily tips and a supportive forum, I think you might like it (don't forget about us though )

    Take care x

hey DT! sorry to hear about your disturbed nights :(
i've lost about 10lbs since beginning of december just through walking the dog - so it definitely works even if you don't feel like you're doing much, we go at a snails pace a lot of the time as she is a very sniffy puppy! xxx

Sorry to hear that you are down DT..but what the others say makes a lot of sense.Infact so much so I'm going to give it a go.
I tend to only eat twice aday and probably noe enogh and certainly not enough exercise.Think I'll try more exercise and eating small meals 3-5 times a day.
It makes sense as when I do SW I eat loads more food and lose weight...so the anology of stoking the fire makes sense.

Are you ok DT? Is there anything we can help with... even if it is just to listen and have people to share things with? Take care. x
