    Thanks!
I've had a quick look at the PAD challenge but can't get the first one to load. Just wondered what people do to raise the money to make the payments??? Might post that question on there.
    Ging x

Any spare money by rounding down bank accounts, not spending on coffees, magazines, etc, money found down the sofa, in the street, money from scratchcards, small change in your purse ie any little bit of money which would just normally be spent without you realising payments can be of any amount from1p upwards either paid directly through online banking to debts or saved up in money pigs etc. and paid off as a lump sum. It's surprising how it mounts up.

Right a new day and a new week dawns time to get organised.
    Jobs to do
    1. Finish paperwork
    2. Finish tidying office and move OH in
    3. Do accounts and ring accountants
    4. Buy a lawnmower and sort garden

The last item is a new task as I have had a major falling out with my gardener of 16 years and as when he was broke we gave him all our equipment we are now stuck with a large garden and no equipment. Really p****d off with him we have helped him so much in the past when he was setting up in business and now when we need him he hardly ever comes except in the winter when nobody else wants him and our garden is a mess, also over the years it has become his garden not ours and he is good at started new projects but not at simple maintenance like weeding so now we have a high maintenance garden that looks like !!!!!! - sorry rant over. It's raining at the moment so can't even get started.

So I am going to go and finish the office now.

  • Hi DT instead of having to fork out alot of money for your own equipment for the garden and then having to spend the time doing it yourself would it not be more beneficial to get another gardener? It would be less initial outlay and less labour for you. Just a thought.

Sorry that your last gardener showed you little respect in the end, its a shame that.

I have thought about it but the garden has cost a fortune over the years and to be honest what I pay the gardener would soon pay for the equipment, I would get more exercise and if the garden is a mess than I only have me to blame, I may get help later in the year in cutting the hedges they are my biggest fear as we have a lot of different types and one Laurel one is quite tall but anyway I am going to try. I used to really enjoy gardening but as the children came along and I got busier I let the gardener take over which was really stupid it got to the point that if I brought plants he wouldn't plant them he had to come with me to buy them and approve the choice in the end I just gave up which was madness really. I sound like a real wimp which I'm not really but I settled for the easy but expensive option not very :money:so perhaps this is the push I needed to take back control:D

The weather is clearing up and I haven't finished the office must get this done so I can get outside I have done quite a bit though and it is looking better.

Just had a nice email from Marks and Spencer money I use my M&S card for my monthly spending and pay it off as I save the vouchers for Christmas shopping. I sent the amount due to them on Thursday by faster payment and usually it credits within hours but this time it didn't and of course it would be the one month when I had sent it on the last possible day usually I send it a couple of days before. It finally registered on my account today as being paid on Friday so I wrote to them asking them if they would charge interest. They wrote back to say they had given me a period of grace and therefore no interest. They also said that although my bank is part of the faster payment system they are not and therefore it cannot be guaranteed to credit the same day and to allow the normal 2-5 days (although every other time it has done) so lesson learnt and no interest due phew:D

So I have decided they are one company I like.;)

Hi DT. Just wanted to pop in to see how you're doing. I'm struggling to keep up with threads. I've found since i've been pregnant that being on the computer too long just makes me feel tired and even sick sometimes. I hope that passes soon!!

It sounds like you've made major progress with the house decluttering - good luck now with the garden maintenance :D

I'm having to pull back with PaDs and be sensible as i was leaving myself short. I'm really pleased that over the last 2 weeks i've had money left in my account. This means i am not in a panic every Thurs if OH forgets to transfer my money. It's frustrating not PaD-ding as much as i'd like, but we can't deal with everything at once, can we? We will get there one day..honest!!! :p
One step at a time ;)

I am sorry that you are not feeling so good I was very sick with both my pregnancies right up to the end and its not fun hopefully that will not be the case for you.

To cut back on PAD makes sense you don't need to give yourself extra stress and its all relative as you say we will get there we just have to be a bit patient;)
