Hi ya,
I always said that I would struggle if I had a baby and then had to give them up...... knowing us we would probably have ended up adopting them ourselves!
The boys are doing well. Their first christmas back together was difficult but the third child is really starting to settle in now.... I think it's something about getting over the first 6 months in placement?? I have the middle child with me today as his school transport thought the roads were too icy.... not that they bothered to phone and tell me, we were waiting for 2 hrs
Didn't get onto the wii fit last night but MUST DO IT TODAY!!!!!!

Good Morning Folks
As it is the end of the first month of the MFiT-T2 challenge I have been checking my figures and adding the challenge to my sig I have paid off this month £1334.98 which is great I was aiming for £500 for those months that I don't get paid so I am well ahead already and that will put me in the yellow band when the first 3 monthly update is done I had feared I would be in the red band as I always knew I would be behind target to begin with as my first payday of the challenge is not until the end of April - so I am very happy with that :j
OH needs two new tyres for his car and without telling me ordered them through our local tyre fitter - they rang this morning to say they were out of stock so I have ordered them off the internet for less of course and then the local firm will fit them so another result just wished he had asked me in the first place
Also put my first £2 coin in my new savings pot and a bit of schrapnel that OH left on the seat - this is the start of my renovation fund - just hope I can get the money out without breaking the pot

Wow, great news on all the financial stuff (except the OH, of course, but even that has a happy ending!).2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Just opened a statement and realised I have managed to miscalculate so in fact I have paid off another £10 :j
Off to update sigs and challenges - go me :rotfl:

Great news on another £10 gone.0

I have paid off £160.53 to Capital One today.
I have been checking my snowball and taking the normal payments into account in order to clear the two credit cards that I would like to clear when I get paid at the end of April I will need an extra £1200 in addition to the payment I have budgeted to make then. So approximately £300 per month or £10 per day I can feel another personal challenge coming on here if I PAD £10 per day I will still be slightly short but feel I can make that up when I make the final payment.
If I manage to do this I personally will not owe anything on a CC which I am sure has not been the case for over 20 years :j
Of course that situation will not last long as by September I will need to BT some balances off OHs card and it will probably go on a card in my name but it will be a nice feeling for a few months - it's academic really because the debts are our debts and it just happens to be how it has worked out and later in the year it will probably be OHs cards that will be empty - but it is still a nice thing to aim for.:D
All I have to do now is find the extra £10 a day

I am sure you will find the extra £10 a day - it is amazing what us DFWs can do when we put our mind to it!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Evening DT
haven't read this thread for a while, and in fact last time I looked you were making traffic light jelly and dealing with nits!
Great results with the tyres and the debt busting.
Defo agree on the stress free stuff, some of the time involved in getting pennies is not worth it.
DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT WEIGHT!!!!!
We went to an 18th birthday over Christmas and one of the gifts was a 'This is your life' book. My youngest nephew pointed to a picture and asked who was holding the baby - it was me - weighing a mere 9 stone, just short of 18 years ago! No idea what I weigh, I was 5 stone overweight a year ago, but more interested in things fitting me and not spilling over the top of my clothes. I originally planned on doing a number of 5k walks/jogs this year so that I did a total of 50k for various charities and think I may have to try and resurrect this, as its a bit of a catch 22, not really fit enough to do exercise, but need to exercise to lose weight. I am going to go and buy some scales and think that I will put a pound away for every pound I lose, and maybe just treat myself. Just an idea, not enough to make a significant dent in debt, but enough to treat myself.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
