Happy New Year - fingers crossed for a nit and debt free 2010
Being nit free is certainly easier than becoming debt free oh well one down one to go :rotfl:
Off to Cardiff tomorrow to take OS back to Uni I shall miss him
So won't be on for a couple of days but back in full debt busting mode when I get back - I need a few cunning plans
DTxx0 -
Oooh I love a cunning plan! Looking forward to hearing all. Have a good trip to Cardiff - hope the goodbye is not too sad0

Double Trouble, I'm jumping aboard. It's nice to see people who have a larger amount of debt to pay off (like me) can be focussed on their goals. I'm hoping to find inspiration in your diary, hopefully I can help you along the way too. DDebt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! Welcome aboard the more the merrier - I try not to look at the big figure too much but look at smaller goals
I am impressed with your weight loss figures that is an area I am completely failing to addressbut I need to especially as I have developed a knee problem which the excess weight is not helping - so do you have any tips in that area?

OK I am safely back from cardiff.
The trip has given me plenty of time to think about what I want to achieve in 2010.
Whether I am going to be debt free or not is really not under my control as it will depend on when our villa sells- in some ways that takes the pressure off as I can't set a debt free date
Hypno mentioned on our (freudian slip there:rolleyes: ) thread 2010 as being life laundry year and that is definitely featuring in my thinking. A lot of free bingo sites are tightening up their criteria and I am weirdly quite pleased because I have spent alot of time on them in 2009 for relatively small reward. The major contributions to my debt reduction have been changes in expenditure and getting all CCs on to 0% interest. So this year I have decided to prioritise my efforts on the significant items rather than chasing every penny as I want to spend more time on working efficiently thereby reducing stress, more time on the house and garden which if they are under control will make me happier, more time with family, and most of all (echoes of Hypno again) more time for me. I am conscious that my extra weight is now catching up with me and contributing to several health problems as well as self esteem. I have not always been overweight and I want to be slim again really badly. In my case that mainly means exercise as my eating is not out of control but I definitely need to move more and than is going to take a significant amount of time and effort.
I need to lose at least 6 stone so I am going to take it a stone at a time and set myself some mini goals I will also think of some rewards for each goal my first goal is to lose a stone by my birthday so just under 7 weeks
so that is 2010 sorted :rotfl:

Go for it DT, if anyone can get there - you can0

are you feeling the cold?0 -
No weight loss tips I'm afraid other than cutting down portion sizes. I found I was just as full after a meal by eating less! I've hit a bit of a plateau and haven't lost anything for a few months... so I might have to start the dreaded E word (exercise).
I was just a few pounds lighter than you when I started, so I know how it feels having a figure of 6 stone to lose! It's daunting, set mini goals. Take regular pics of yourself. I felt like I hadn't lost much weight, as I've only dropped a dress size. But I dug out a pic from a year ago & OMG I *looked* twice the size.Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! Think weight loss is on a lot of our minds ...I need to lose 9 stone so am with you all the way if you want.
I was also thinking the other day about chasing pennies here and there...a few hours extra work would cover that and more so am opting for that..so can really seee where you're coming from.
Perhaps the time you would have spent doing bingo etc could be spent going for a walk/swim etc xx0
