You do not need one, tell them you do not agree to their outrageous demand and request that the manager meet you in the local coffee house prior to you seeking legal action upon which then, you'd be more than happy to meet all three of them in your lawyers offices!

By the way, you can do a chargeback - that is a fact and already been confirmed to you, by not only myself but others! Tell crappy one that you are making a chargeback request - don't ask them! You never received the goods as advertised - therefore a chargeback under s.75 of the CCA is perfectly valid.

That's good advice. I'm a little nervous about making demands though, because at the end of the day, if I !!!! them off, I'm still asking them to fix the colour my hair. A part of me is thinking that if I !!!! them off TOO MUCH they'll take revenge by agreeing to redo it one more time and will add a nice dollop of immac to the hair dye LOL!

Do you think a letter might be another option? If I keep it friendly and try and appeal to their sense of fairness, but make it very clear that I do know my options and would have no qualms about persuing them if I'm left like this (with everything you said included), but as I'm a repeat customer of such an expensive upmarket salon I have every hope that it won't come to that?

Do you know what i'd do? I'd just ring crappy one and do the chargeback and ignore the salon from now on. make sure you take a before and after photo. If Crappy one refuse the chargeback (as the salon will appeal it) then issue small claims against them including compo.

Just make sure you have 2 photo's - before and after clearly showing the hair.

As someone with naturally red hair I get pretty aggrieved with people bashing gingers. My husband has even redder hair than me and we both get it all the time.

I never undersand why people hate ginger hair. Can someone enlighten me why is it thought so much worse than blonde, which personally, I hate or brown?

Surely this is the same as racism, ageism or any other ism, call it gingerism.

Go the gingers!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Go Gingers indeed! I honestly have nothing against ginger hair at all. I think it can look really pretty when its in good condition and I think there's nothing worse than people with ginger hair who try and hide it by going blonde. There's something really unique about the colouring ginger people have - the pale skin, sometimes having freckles and blue / green eyes. If I was born with ginger hair, then I'd love it.

But I wasn't! I was born a really boring mousy brown. And for me, going blonde had a huge appeal to me because I'd tried and failed to so many times. It was something I thought I'd never accomplish - and then I did, and I was over the moon!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - A lot of people would be over the moon with the colour I have now. Its isn't bad. BUT - when you've spent £50-60 every six weeks for a year to have a particular colour and you get given a different one, it doesn't matter how nice it is - you're still going to be dissappointed!

Sorry if I've affended any red heads out there. Wasn't my intention.

If they are skinny they look like a Swan Vesta before they go.

I spoke to capital one this morning. They are sending me the forms for a chargeback under s75 and have said that I need to send photos of before and after, and a report from an independent hairdresser stating what went wrong with the service I receieved.

    Anyone here a hairdresser?! :P

I just called the salon again and left a message for the hairdresser to call me back. Apparently he's with a client. I'm going to give them one last chance to fix it, but that's it. Over the bank holiday I had FIVE people ask me what the hell happened to my hair and SIX people have confirmed that it is in fact ginger. (One of whom was someone I didn't even know at the traffic lights who yelled out "Hey Ginge!!!" before the lights went green!!!) LOL.
