observation about bootsales

My boyfriend said this this morning and i hadn't noticed till he said, that we go to several different bootsales and they all seem to be stalls in these proportions -

25% plants
25% new stuff eg cards, poundsellers, butchers/vegetables
20% collectors and business bootsellers
20% genuine bootsellers asking ridiculous money eg £5 for a recent papaerback whic can still be bought in tesco for £4
10% really genuine bootselers who just want to get rid of stuff cluttering up the house asking 50p an item, etc

We don't get many bootsales in our area anymore but as far as i remember, bootsales round here have always been like that!
If google doesn't know it, how should i?

something else i noticed, more and more stalls selling for charity, the bootsales have put up notices saying that charities do not have to pay for stalls pitches, so if they are genuine maybe it is because they are being forced out shops premises by high rents, i think it is great, and gives even more money to the charity

    Butchers!?!

I do agree though and I feel it is increasingly had to come across a genuine bargain that, to be honest, we are all after.

Our local ones are full of DVD sellers. Some adverts in the paper now stated "DVD sales only by prior approval". There are sometimes 25% DVD sellers; do people really watch that many DVD's?
