    thanks everyone :)

i didnt mean to start a war, before i posted on here i was under the impression i had the same rights and responsabilitys as the pwc, but now im unsure. reading what has been posted i am now sure that i have rights, but it seems not as many as she has, thanks again everyone for your help :)

You have got the same rights are her. The problem comes with her being the main carer. For example, you could say what school you want the child to go to but if it's her doing the school run then it's not really feasible is it? But on the other hand, you would be able to give go ahead for medical treatment should she not be able to - things like that.

And you are a legal guardian, just like she is.

It mentions alot about PRR about there's no 'winner' and both parents should have an equal say hence why the 2004 amended Childrens Act was introduced.

Secretly I love you really;) I like a man who will stand up for his rights and views as much as I do:p

That's it, you've got yourself a date. I like a woman who can stand up for herself too.

No piercing that condom though and fleecing me to the CSA;)

can I just add one thing, my husband has an eleven year old with his ex, we all got on fine then she split from her new partner...... now she has contacted the csa claiming we dont pay her, we pay by standing order so thought we were safe....... no, unless they are SIGNED by the mother, the CSA have said its no good. The ex has said that we never have him, we pick him up from school every other weekend, drop him off on the monday, nope, not good enough for the CSA. Cantt afford to take her to court and she knows this, thats how close we were 7 months ago. All my husband wants is to see his son, what more can anyone do? the system is geared towards women, yes some men are horrid, but so are women

    Really had to vent, sorry!!!
