well finally got back on the forum after being out this morning when I could actually post I came home just in time for it to shut:mad:

The whole of my home town is turning Claret and Blue in honour of the local football team making it to Wembley for the Championship playoffs.Cant wait for Monday when we will join the 36,000 other fans heading down the M1.Watch out London, Burnley will be on the move:rotfl:

Its Saturday so OS wise I really do very little other than what I have to which is usually just feeding the kids and washing up:oBut I have made tea tonight as I usually resort to a takeaway on a Sat night as we watch Primeval and BGT

Well hugs to those that need them and Congrats to those that have done something great

hi Redruby congrats on the medal, glad you enjoyed your walk. I have spent the whole day in the garden , I have made a frame to go round the spuds so I can earth them up, planted some rocket, weeded , tidied, chopped up lots of fir tree branches and bagged them up in between helping DH with his latest project - decking. its actually looking really good will post a pic when he has finished.

decided tea will be bits and bobs from the freezer and people can just help themselves, I have 2 fishcakes 1 piece of fish in batter, 4 sausages, hash browns oven chips :o salad . it will help to empty the freezer.

    have a good afternoon

Ravylesley - My local team Gillingham are at Wembley today and are playing as I speak and everyone round the shops this morning were wearing their shirts and buying up all the sausage rolls sarnies etc to sustain them for the trip up :D Funnily enough my old team from London where I grew up and who I followed, Millwall, are at Wembley in the play offs tomorrow.

Changed the beds, done some ironing and had a bbq this afternoon. Weather was a bit cool so not as nice as they promised but made a nice change. DH has disappeared, I bet he is next door admiring their new kitchen. I will go and have a nose too in a mo.

Have a good day all, what's left of it that is xxxx

    Hello :hello:

I've been gardening between showers so I'm very soggy. :o cleaned the house from top to bottom this morning so no more housework for the weekend. :j

The girls had friends round all afternoon and I kept them quiet with buns. :D Made 30 fifteens, 24 blueberry and white choc muffins, 24 choc chip mini muffins and 2 banana loaves yesterday. Gave half to my friend for her charity thing and we're scoffing the rest ourselves.
The pasties I made last night were a huge success and no one believed me that they were made for the night before's stew. I need to remember that puff pastry swells in the oven. They went in the size of my hand and came out the size of my head. :rotfl:

Off to Homebase in a bit [STRIKE]as I have bribed OH [/STRIKE]OH has kindly offered to buy me a couple of plum trees and it's 10% day. ;)

Making lamb tikka masala and beef rogan josh for tea with poppadoms, naan and rice.

    Ruby I am shocked. I [STRIKE]pay my friend to [/STRIKE]iron everything. :p;):D

    Candynana :hello:

    Bye Bye

With Millwall Gillingham and Burnley milling about our town this weekend, I think I will spend it mostly indoors. :P

Good to be back on. Walked dogs by marsh trail and met a little Boston Terrier pup. It was sooo cute. Went into town and met a Newfoundland. I got to stroke its head - it was enormous and very solid! Can you tell I love dogs :)?
2nd load dried now on line and have had to wash dog bedding x2 as one of them got an Ainsley Harriott cupasoup and managed to eat it and dribble over both beds.
Plan to dig my knitting out from the bottom of the wardrobe. Think this jumper will take 3 years to knit.
Evening of telly planned, so fairly quiet in this household at the moment.

    hi everyone

Well I survived my week back at work with heavy cold. Not a lot was done in the week just came home and went to bed so today has been catch up time. Suitcase finally emptied and all now washed, a few bits that needed it ironed and all put away. This weeks washing has been done and going to put it away in a min. Have given every room a good going over, sometimes I think I am sooooooo lucky to live in a tiny bungalow - the days I am feeling creative I curse it for being so small :rotfl:

Had mad panic this morning as OH couldn't find his car key, we only got the car while we were away and only have the one key  it is now nice and shiny as has been washed, but it was him that put that load on so not my fault :D

We are off to Lincoln tomorrow for a night away, we just decided last night, not been there before but looking forward to a nice lot of sightseeing.

Hope everyone has a good holiday weekend and ((((hugs))) for those who need them.

    Hello :hello:

I've been gardening between showers so I'm very soggy.
So I shouldn't tell you I've been sitting on the beach for most of the day then? :D

    Hello all,

Got up early (for a change) popped and did the supermarket shop and was at the beach by 10.30 (without checking the tide times!!!!) So once the tide had gone out enough, we sat and had our sandy picnic, had a lovely paddle and built an entire town of sandcastles.....was bliss.

Came home for a de-sand, had a tidy up in the garden and hung out some washing. Chicken curry for tea - using (shock horror) Mr S's value curry sauce which was on offer at 4p a jar....we all like the taste of it so thumbs up....the chicken has been marinading in a jar of sauce all day and it's been flash fried and is now baking away in the oven...smells divine.

I actually find ironing theraputic, I'm strange.
