    :hello:Good morning!

Lovely day here so washing can be hung out - just hope all the neighbours don't decide it's just the day for a BBQ.....

Going round to DD2's later to take some nappies we bought for DGD. DGS doesn't need any more atm as he's halfway through potty training :p

Last night's dinner was gammon steak, the last of the Jersey Royals we bought the other day,and peas. Haven't a clue what tonight's will be! There's some scampi in the freezer but DH doesn't like that (I bought it for me, as it was on special offer.) so may be pasta with something.

betheebee - Huge ((((HUGS)))) to you.

Seven hours with no forum, whatever shall I do when DH is watching the sport?

Oh well, see you tomorrow if I don't get back on here later on.

    Morning :D

It's cloudy here but it's supposed to stay dry so I'm chancing the washing out :p I'm going to Manchester with DH & DS3 to buy clothes for his PGL trip with school in 2 weeks. He still needs some tracksuit bottoms, a waterproof & more boxers and socks so Primark it'll be I think. I'll have a mooch round the Arndale Centre as well as I want a basket type thing to make my Mum a hamper up for her birthday. I've been amazed by some of the hampers done on the Special Occasion Board they're amazing :T

Lasagne & wedges for dinner this evening. Have a good day everyone xxx
  • Morning all:hello:

Phew!!!! The weather is absolutely glorious here and the new plants in the garden are seriously wilting already- poor things – next time I’ll water them first thing in the morning to give them a chance.
I am feeling very guilty when reading through the daily OS as everyone seems to do ironing – that is the one thing that I don’t do – does this make me a bad person ???
I tend to get the washing straight out and hung up and folded when dry so that minimal creasing happens – sorry- but I hate to iron and would much rather do some knitting or cooking! Well each to their own (hangs head in shame!!!):o:o
Sistercas – we had exactly the same breakfast and mmmmmmm it was delish too!!!
I’ve decided on a nsd today and have turned my back on shopping until absolutely necessary but I won’t go along the lines of shopping deliveries as I do like to see the people in the little village/minitown where I live.
The charity shops are a bit of a vice of mine I just love scouting for ye old bargain and now that the warmer weather has arrived I am trying to persuade OH to take me to the odd boot fair- I think he is very worried about taking me- I do like a good haggle:rolleyes:
Have a great day everyone and hugs to all who need it –thanks for letting me join in
May you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce:D
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without:cool:

    Morning all
We've been up for ages, I've been mainly pottering & reading, but any minute now I shall get a huge burst of energy & fling my self into some serious housework, I've already got some washing on the line.

    Have a good weekend.
    Hugs Hester

    Good morning good people,

Today has been designated a cleaning day in the Cranky household. Mr Cranky is off sailing at 2pm, so the boy and I will be cleaning, stopping for lunch and then doing more cleaning. The inside of the car is also on the cleaning agenda, which gives ds a small chance to play in the front with his friends, while I keep watch.

No idea what's for dinner tonight, as at least one of the household will be floating on the river come dinner time. Bacon and egg toasties for lunch, to keep Sinbad the sailor's strength up until his next meal.

    Take care all of you.

    Morning everyone.
Sunny here and WM is on. I have washing on the line that I put out last night when I saw that the forecast was good.
Been down to estate agent to complain that they missed our house our of their advert ggrrr:mad:. But I was polite (but firm:D).
Bought a steak pie from the butcher for tea tonight and some potatoes from veg shop. We have frozen beans and other veg to use up.
Last night we had steak - yum yum indeed. I was a bit dizzy at work yesterday after returning from this tummy bug. Too much too soon. I craved a steak last night and red meat again today but it's no wonder as I haven't taken my iron tabs I get from dr for a few months. I put them in the dresser instead of keeping them beside food and I have just forgotten about them. So, it's iron rich food for me and the tablets are back in the fridge so I can't miss them. I also bought dried apricots yesterday and munched them up. There are organic ones in MrM for I think £1.60 a pack and they're really delicious and plump.
Our local allotments are having a plant sale this weekend so will pop down to get some tomato plants. I usually have them by now.
Off to give the shady windows a clean with vinegar.
Hope you have a good day peeps!

In my book it makes you a good person :D, I never iron either, I hate it with a pasion, In fact I threw my ironing board out :T, the only thing my iron gets used for is occasionally OH takes it to work to iron on the plastic strip things that go on the end of a kitchen counter :rotfl:, life is too short to iron.

Helllooooo, anyone home ??? we are back, cant see whats changed, but I have a new medal :T.

Been out for a lovely walk all along the river it was beautiful, saw two swans proudly showing off their cygnets.

Also went to the plant sale and spent £18 on a huge amount of plants, and then got some hanging baskets, which I will pot up, either this afternoon or tomorrow..

Hope you alve all been industrious while we were down ;)
