But worth a look - try and get the suspension checked if possible - they do go thru some legs and ball joints.... And often pattern ones not available or are cr*p. And the usual plugs/cam belt been done etc.!
I'm such a nag!!
Now I am back out into the sunshine. A glorious day and for the first time in many years, a dry clear bank holiday where actually may see the planes in the air show, as opposed to just hearing them!
Not that I am off to the sea front - too busy and full of ......... er people...Genie

Why pay 2 grand + for a grand car?
There's loads of old Lexuses (Lexi?) floating around, a big old barge with a V8 is always going to be cheap."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Why pay 2 grand for car? That would apply to any car that your buying, whats your point?Yes lots of old cars about but lots of bad ones too.So i take it you would not buy any of those cars then? lol0

He obviously wouldn't - which is why I don't know why he comes on this thread. Obviously to stir it........ normal behaviour!

True - but would it be a good one at that price?Brooker_Dave wrote: »Point is you could buy what you're after for a grand.
Its a gamble when buying a secondhand car (or new for that matter) and trying to help OP find one that will not land him with huge bills - and that is not to say that purchasing one that is dearer means that it is better. OP needs to do the research and it looks like he is.
OP really wants one of these and we should try and help him get one that has been maintained well that will not need alot spending on it immediately. They are high maintenance, but if all the basics are done on it already, ie cam belt and plugs, then he has a head start. The other things that I can think of re this particular car is the suspension and would be a good idea to make sure the PAS and PAS pump are all in good working order - otherwise it is costly.Genie
