Alert! tesco have stopped taking internet printed coupons

Options
I am a single mother of 2 and am living in child poverty . i have had to recently give up due to ill health and childcare issues, so i rely on coupons to save money when i am doing my grocery shopping. today when paying for my shopping i handed over my coupons printed from this site and they were refused, i proceed by asking why they said that all tescos have stopped taking coupons that have been printed off of the internet even if you have bought the product. the cashier called the team leader who also said it was now like it in all tesco stores everywhere?
Is anyone else having the same problem with the internet coupons in tesco? Should have I been refused?

    How though?
Why won't Tesco take them - what's the excuse for it?
Another reason to stop going there..........

My tescos has never accepted them, despite accepting a normal coupon or two if you haven't bought the item.
Just said it was the manager's decision - which seems to be the way with many supermarkets when their policy changes from store to store.

There ought to be a civil penalty (to the store) for accepting coupons when the respective goods have not been bought.

In the interim banning internet coupons (but accepting standard coupons) is a reasonable compromise.

Kellogg's, to name just one company, won't be very happy - they're now using internet coupons as an integral part of their promotional campaigns, e.g. the buy 3 boxes get 1 free offer running at the moment which requires you to type in 3 codes on their website then print off a coupon for a free box. In fact Kellogg's state: "All retailers should accept Couponstar online coupons".

Tesco are selling Kellogg's boxes with the promotional flash on the front, so maybe they should put a large sign on the shelf warning customers that they won't be able to get their free box in Tesco.
