Buffy, would it be possible to get your mum an interest or a hobby? maybe to begin with something you could both go to, until she gets comfortable. I don't know, salsa dancing or an evening class. Something where she might meet new people so she doesn't rely on you so heavily to fill the void in her life?:A

Hi Maz, actually am quite happy Boro got relegated, financially we will be better off and probably will run the club at a profit and I am really looking forward to watching the kids. Not sure Southgate should still be in charge. Steve Gibson is giving an interview tomorrow night on Radio Tees which could be quite revealing. Chuffed to bits that the Goon Army came down with us, you see its all about them in the North East and probably rightly so but nevertheless it does get a bit sickening reading Newcastle this Newcastle that.
It's funny...but I've never heard them called the Goon Army before...
The reason you here about Newcastle so much is that virtually all the regional TV/Radio networks are based in Newcastle."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

She wanted to make cards but my Sister does that with her. strictly a day time thing.
Before we moved here she was out every night practically. She had really changed LOADS when I think about it.
She is also very sensitive to us getting her to do stuff and says she doesn't want to. She always says I should do what I want. but then if I go out she stays up till I come home, (can't even bring anyone in for a night cap) I still do it sometimes just keep my hand in so to speak!
thanks Toto - did you get you car fixed?Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Hi Toto, I meant to ask the other day, how's your babby doing?

Well, perhaps you could find something craft like that you think she'd enjoy and tell her you'd really like to go but are a bit shy and ask if she would go with you. Then after a few weeks when she's loving it you can get bored and drift away??
I'm sure your mum is lovely and she obviously adores you, but honey you do have a life and you can't sacrifice that because you feel responsible for your mum. In her heart she must know that she's leaning on you a bit too much. She is trying to mother you just as she did when you were little and in loads of ways I feel for her. There is no easy answer but you are going to have to put your feelings of responsibilty to the side a little bit and fight for some of the things which are important to you, it won't be easy, but then nor is living like this.
You can both live your lives as adults under the same roof but to do that you need to be able to have the freedom to come and go as you wish and she needs the confidence to let you.
As for the stupid car... grrr, the key is out, but only because we removed the battery which released it. As soon as we put the battery in again and started it, the key got stuck again. So tomorrow the car is off to the toyota garage and I'll be lucky to get change from £1,000.:A

Right nighty night all
She was 6 months old last week len and is just adorable. She's going to be a nightmare in a few weeks when she's mobile because those little hands are already looking for trouble. She's teething at the moment though so the lovely 12 hour nights are a bit of a distant memory.
How's your little man doing? And how is Jack liking being a big brother?:A
