Well, we're going for 3 weeks and the in-laws will be giving us some money towards the villa.
The flights were £2210, the car £540 and the villa £1430.

Now, to save up the spending money! EEK!

    Wow thanks guys xxx

Just got back kinda - eating lunch got to hungry and ate too much.
well, I would say 40 weeks to do 40 pounds Buffy if you see it as 1 pound per week. I didn't think you needed to lose 40 pounds when we met?

I think it would probably be less than 1800 cals. I've signed up to Tesco diets and have many, many stone to lose and I am on 1700-1800 cals per day.

Maybe start with 1500 and see how you get on and then drop to 1250 for the last stone?

    BB
I guess I should aim for 30 pounds, given that I have never managed to lose more then 10 pounds in my life ever.

If you want to lose a lb in weight you need to use up 3,500 calories so you either need to BURN more or eat less, or a combination of both.

I personally found the food focus site the best-could 'eat what I want' and just note the calories. If you want to lose 2lbs a week, you need to burn 7,000 a week more-so need to eat about 1200 calories a day and bun about 400-500.

It means eating lots of low calorie food like fruit and veg and low fat protein etc.

    Bun

I agree, I would sign up to food focus....(free) and very easy to use.......

And do things like eating breakfast to stimulate metabolism and eat regularly through the day, and if you can't run walk lots....

    Sammy

I belong to food focus and found it ok. I do forget what I eat tho...:o
but I shall use a notepad.

thanks ladies I knew you lot would know! especially the facts and figures. I shall work out some facts and figures re exercise calorie burning xxxxx

That's why I liked FF Buufy, you can log all your exercise and food in one place.

I just need to get my act together and get on track with it again.
