Grey here, rained for about 10 minutes earlier.

It's gorgeously sunny here BB, not a cloud in the sky!

over cast Mum has annoyed me - she is such a control freak and so am I and honestly some days I get SICK of giving in.

Very glad you hip is feeling better Spud - I 'd rest it ? how did you hurt it tho?

I am off out in a bit but as ever need some advice (you lot were fab last night thank you xx)

realistically how long would it take to lose 40 pounds? I can't do Cd (Mum would kill me) and WW doesn't work with Mum shopping for a family of six there is SO much food in the house at the moment and its all so NICE. might do the shopping this week tho so you never know.

I am just thinking if I gym balled, DVD, walked, stretched thingy for 30 minutes each day and kept my calories to what 1800?? that would be 2 pounds a week?

eek have to go out now see you later xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

well, I would say 40 weeks to do 40 pounds Buffy if you see it as 1 pound per week. I didn't think you needed to lose 40 pounds when we met?

I think it would probably be less than 1800 cals. I've signed up to Tesco diets and have many, many stone to lose and I am on 1700-1800 cals per day.

Maybe start with 1500 and see how you get on and then drop to 1250 for the last stone?

If you want to lose a lb in weight you need to use up 3,500 calories so you either need to BURN more or eat less, or a combination of both.

I personally found the food focus site the best-could 'eat what I want' and just note the calories. If you want to lose 2lbs a week, you need to burn 7,000 a week more-so need to eat about 1200 calories a day and bun about 400-500.

It means eating lots of low calorie food like fruit and veg and low fat protein etc.

I agree, I would sign up to food focus....(free) and very easy to use.......

And do things like eating breakfast to stimulate metabolism and eat regularly through the day, and if you can't run walk lots....

Are the bits in bold all related? Does your mum prefer that you didn't lose weight?
