Been busy doing the usual pre weekend tidy & clean up in the house and making a veggie laden spag bol for tea tonight so far today. I'm going out soon to get 2 more collapsible crates as my Mum had a brainwave yesterday. She had done my drying for me as it's been so wet and was trying to sort it into a crate for the children and one for me & DH and she thought it may be a good idea to get the children a crate each. The plan is that they'll sit in the kitchen and I will fold their dry washing into them and also sling in anything that I find around the house on my travels that belongs to each child. They'll then have to take their own crates up and put the stuff away after tea. That's the plan anyway  I'll let you know if it works.
Ironing to do and sweep & mop the floors downstairs at some point too. Also I bought some trimmings to sew around a couple of plain white tee shirts I've got yesterday so I'll enjoy jazzing them up later.
Have a good day everyone xxx0 -
Morning all.
I'm earlier than usual today - don't know quite why.
Busy bank holiday weekend ahead, so saving my energy so that Mr LW and I can enjoy the time (yes, we even enjoy doing chores together. Sad, innit?:D)
Mushroom risotto for dins tonight - then I think it'll be Freezer, Fridge & Cupboard Roulette from tomorrow til Wednesday, as we're off on our hols Thursday, and I refuse to shop again til afterwards.
I see lots of people still have offspring doing exams - wishing all concerned the very best of luck. I can still remember the stress of exams - I was so extremely nervous and stressed out, the Doc put me on tablets!!
Have a good day all; ((((HUGS)))) to those who want/need one today. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Happy Friday!
Sunny here today, so hoping to get all the laundry finally caught up. Spent an hour ironing last night, never knew it could be so tiring!
Last of the lasagne for lunch today:rolleyes: and then we are having pizza, g-bread and salad for tea. Likely to be washed down with a Magners.
OH is doing more DIY today and I need to pop out at lunch for a birthday card and some bits. Got to fling the hoover round later too..joy..
Looking forward to the weekend as I am going to a BBQ tomorrow afternoon and it promises to be decent weather but that remains to be seen:rotfl:
Anyone seen Sunnyday?

Afternoon OS lovelies!
Katzen and rattlesnake!
Sistercas - well done on the weightloss - did you have fun buying your new underwear?
salopman - I miss the LB stories too!
Cranky - Enjoy your celebration hon
redruby - We often make chilli tortillas and do in the oven with cheese on top.. they are delicious.
Squiggly - glad you liked the sandwich filling ideas.
Halight - Just read yesterdays post and I have to say I find you completely inspiring.

Pink - this is where I read and understood that Sybil felt others didn't want to hear about LB, which is why I replied in the way I did. However I didn't mean to say she was being 'told' not to, sorry.
Had a delicious cottage pie last night with some high quality YS mince and bulked it out with grated carrot and celery and lots of mushys and even an old red pepper that was languishing in the bottom of the fridge. OH and I had the BIGGEST plateful with cabbage and broccolli and there is lots left for tonight.
Spent time in the garden and so far although we have seen lots of slugs and snails around, the copper tape and slugstoppa granules (very dry granules that apparently sucks all the slime off slugs and snails so they can't crawl over it) seem to be keeping them off my veggies though I guess growing them in tubs helps. Cabbages and broccolli doing well though still small. Lettuces are growing like weeds, I had to repot some to spread them out more. It was such a lovely evening yesterday - was out in the garden til nearly 1900.
I made honeycomb last night and the house still smelt of it when we got up this morning, it was lovely! My OH had never made it before and he was like a little kid and all excited when we added the bicarb and it all bubbled up!to all the children taking exams today and extra
for you mums and dads dealing with exam stress!

Good afternoon all,:hello:
Well it’s still nice and sunny here in my neck of the woods – I’ve just got back from a trip to the hospital –they have slung a heart monitor around my neck for the next 24 hours and my goodness , it feels really heavy now – Quasimodo look alike is a good description of me at the moment “ The bells, the bells and all that !!”
DD has just got back from a trip to the big town (as she calls it) and has informed me that her preferred birthday pressie is in stock –I therefore uttered the immortal words –we shall see!
Hope that everyone is having a busy/relaxing day and looking forward to the bank holiday (apologies to those who don’t get a bank holiday)
Tea tonight will be bitesize chicken thigh pieces soaked in buttermilk and then dipped in paxo stuffing and baked mmmmm…. Really easy and really scrummy with a salad
My baby (15) is hankering for time on the computer – so I will catch up with everyone later on and gradually get back into the swing of the things – I have finally decided to clear out the gumph (right spelling? Mmm not sure ) or the general junk for a boot fair as this living on less money is now getting serious- nothing I can’t handle as I got a cheap book on knitting afghan blankets in a week and they will make lovely chrimbo pressies
Nice to hear about everyone else’s day – take care - exam parents and kids keep smiling why oh why is my basil plant dying?
Pcb xMay you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without:cool:0
