Morning everyone - wow, am I glad it's Friday!! Not that I want to wish my life away though
It's cloudy and damp here for just now, but hoping that the sun's going to peek through and dry the day up as it rained overnight. I've got some washing that I'd like to get dry.
DH and I tackled the housework last night, so that it won't interfere with the rugby that's on this weekend. Not that I'll get to see much of it, as I need to be studying.....
N9eav - hope the fish are biting
Pink - enjoy your wander round the Market
Everyone else - have a great day too
We don't get this bank holiday weekend, so no break for the wicked in the west! If you're off, I hope you have a lovely time and enjoy the break
Have a fantastic Friday!0 -
Morning all,
Weather looks good again here. I think I will do the ironing nice and early then get into the front garden and do a bit of tidying. Want to clean the window sills. Might even wash the windows.
Last night went for small cycle ride. Managed to find a circular route, but whew, it was hilly. I think if I could do this three times a week it would be as good as an hour in the gym!!!0 -

Good morning everyone,
We have an early appointment this morning to sign new mortgage documents at the bank, so I'll be gone again in a few minutes.
We had braising steak for dinner last night from the farmers market. It was organic reared Welsh Black and it tasted fabulous, just like my gran used to make when I was little. We have decided that we will try and buy more meat from the market, and try and make it go further. As Mr Cranky leaves in 3 weeks for 4 months in the Falklands, what we already have should last well :rotfl:
We are having steak and a bottle for dinner tonight just like Stefe, as we asked MIL for Asda vouchers for our birthdays. We are having our birthday and wedding anniversary celebration meal indoors tonight (my birthday was Tuesday, dh was 50 on Wednesday and it was also our 7th wedding anniversary on Wednesday). We have treated ourselves to a dvd to watch afterwards too.
:rotfl: at Haribo asking where the real Donny-gal has gone!
Take care all of you0 -
Morning all
Grey here again this morning and just started to rain - we need some sunshine again now!
I am a little fragile this morning - the retirement party I went to last evening was a really good one, lots of eating, drinking and laughing!! Had a several glasses of wine and a couple of glasses of champagne so am really feeling it this a.m. Once upon a time I used to be able to have a drink without it affecting me much but not nowadays! Thank goodness I have today off work - pity the others though who have to go in today:D
This morning I am meeting up with DD1 and we are going on the great wedding dress hunt again! There is a really large bridal shop in the city centre who are starting a sale this morning so we are going to see what there is - fingers crossed for a bargain!!!!
Gammon for tea tonight - cooked in sc yest and loads left so will have with jersey royals (on offer MrT delivery yest) and some veg of some description not sure what I fancy yet! Wm on think will have to be dried inside - will see what weather is like when I get back as to whether I will risk it on the line.
Have a good day everyone - must go get ready, I am picking her up at 9.30, and am not even showered yet:eek:"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"Dieting ........... is no piece of cake!!!!:D
