It is a complete disgrace how these companies have been allowed to sell such products and in such an underhand manner that the average person does not understand what they are getting into.
I hit a brick wall the FOS said that they could not look at my complaint with Norton so i have a complaint with FOS re First Plus and unfair rebate.
First Plus did offer 50% rebate but i still sent my complaint to FOS that was 11 months ago!!
I also have a complaint in with the FOS about unfair rebate but its with the insurer being LLoyds. I have still yet to hear anything from this.
I take it Firstplus offered you 50% rebate being without the interest you paid included? I wonder if when FOS look at these complaints for the rebates they take the actual policy amount less the interest or including the interest? Firstplus always offer there rebates (pro rata usually 78%) without interest.0 -

Any chance, why did the FOS say they would not look at your complaint with Norton when this was sold in May 2005 which was after the FSA took the reins in Jan 2005???
ALL sales of insurance were covered by the FOS since 14 January, 2005 when the FSA regulated insurance and yours was sold after this????0
