So in a PPI claim we go to the lender for this???

Can we then go to the FOS and claim for being misled by the FSA etc in that we go to the broker for misselling of PPI. Surely if what you are saying is true then we are being misled by FOS etc.????

Also we always say on this site to go to the company that sold the PPI ???

Peter is 100% correct all the sub prime and I think many high street lenders react to nothing but a court summons, it is their company policy because they rely on peoples inherent fear of the courts....

Not only loan companies do this either. This knowledge of how companies rob people needs to be introduced to the school curriculum. Children should be tought how to use the courts in resolving injustices.

Its entirely up to you sue. You can wait for response from Norton or go ahead with the complaint with Firstplus. I do know that if you are wanting to use the FOS then I would think they would tell you to complain to the broker of the loan. I don't know how to actually go about these complaints with the lender and getting it through to the FOS. I think going this way would be the courts. Good luck.

I had the same thing, though my date of taking out loan was May 2005.
It is a complete disgrace how these companies have been allowed to sell such products and in such an underhand manner that the average person does not understand what they are getting into.

I hit a brick wall the FOS said that they could not look at my complaint with Norton so i have a complaint with FOS re First Plus and unfair rebate.
First Plus did offer 50% rebate but i still sent my complaint to FOS that was 11 months ago!!
