BT.........interesting, in the year BT posted its first loss since privatisation & the fact it floated o2 as it thought Ofcom would enforce it to open o2 as it did BT as a monopoly, seems them pesky mobile termination rates are eradicating profits as much as BT Global

you bet if BT buy T-mobile ( its being considered ) BT will remove its support

removing termination charges WILL ONLY WORK if incoming calls stay free, at the end of the day the EU should not be allowing termination charges or incoming charges in "home" network, the companies should sell a EU priceplan at whatever cost they want & profit should come from there

the termination fees for telecoms relate to when the world was building landline networks, we have moved way on from that, they no longer need termination fees to expand as most people in the world have a landline or mobile or both & many have both & business lines
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

I suppose you can advertise elsewhere. This is a forum on how to save money and not to extol the phone company '3'. Termination rates are separate from 3, let us keep it that way.
:jDON'T STEAL!!! Government HATES competition!:D Pay your tax and make voluntary contributions to the government! :A:T

How much am i regretting joining this site now :-s

I thought the whole point of these forums was to notify people on how they can save money????

By "inviting" people to visit a website which is advocating change, so the fee which a UK customer is charged for phoning a Mobile phone in this country is reduced, fitted nicely with the nature of the website. I was obviously mistaken?

I would like to take this opportunity to remind a few people on here that I am a 3 EMPLOYEE. I do not make the rules, I don't employ our staff, I don't decide which country our call centre is situated. Im just an ordinary old salesman that works for a company which in my opinion is supporting a change that we as moneysavers should be getting right behind.

If people really do want someone to vent their anger at then perhaps speaking to someone who makes the executive decisions would be a better place to start.

But cheers for the nice warm welcome

So Diamonds it appears you have an axe to grind with BT and 3 so im interested to hear your reasons as to why the federation of small businesses, carersUK, NUS, moneysupermarket.com and GMB are also equally supporting this and what, in your opinion, they have to gain by doing this??????

I don't do petitions (nor competitions) so won't be signing anything, and I think those wary of losing their privacy have a point.

P.S. Put a big signature footer in your posting about working for Three and no one will grumble... All your previous messages will be updated with your new signature.

cheaper business rates, which on the whole are cheaper than consumer mobile contracts, BT losing £ & 3 has the highest termination UK rate, but they pour money out to others as 3 India ruins the best UK mobile product there ever was, add to that UK priceplans lose money & your incoming rates dont balance the outgoings, had 3 had PROPER customer care & priceplans that today were competing with the OTHERS it brought UK prices down - noe everyone else, that higher termination fee would make it one of the TOP 100 Footsie companies, in terms of product 3 is above the rest, in terms of customer satisfaction its bottom, its not going to get any easier for 3 as the termination rate set by Ofcom it gets is falling & falling in line with the UK others, so the balnce is getting tighter for 3, to save money is to END termination fees, its not in our interest for 3, its to save them getting bailed out/bankruptcy - 6 years is a long time NEVER to post profit, 3AU is the same, so its merging with Voda AU
