I would be interested to know what sausage you buy and what is the meat content
in them. These do seem to compare quite favourably with some of the expensive brands.Sealed pot challenge 5430 -
I buy these sausages even when they are at normal price and they are really nice.I've tried all the so called classier more meatier brands and they are too tough or spicy for my liking so if like me and mine you like a sausage which tastes like the ones I had when I was a kid then these are the closest you can get

We buy Debbie & Andrews 97% pork sausages although we do 'cheat' somewhat - we get them from a manufacturer's/supermarket overstock shop and normally pay 59p without cardboard pacakging or 99p with all packaging. If you check out my posts on here it will be clear I'm by no means a food snob (I'm a Sainsbugs basics buyer predominantly) but I have to say it's not the 58% meat content that would worry me, it's more the 42% 'other ingredients' that would.

I bet half of you who're finding these sausages not meaty enough for you have happily ate, for example, Richmond sausages.
How much do they contain I wonder?

For me you can't beat Steak Links from Simon Howies butchers (Auchterarder, Scotland), they are also sold in Sainsburys and Morrisons. Ok they cost nearly two quid but I wouldn't eat anything else.0

cheap/less meat sausages are a no no in our house.....as the predominant "other" ingredients is largely rusk, we buy black farmers which are 90% pork0
