Can some one please help.I the 627 "3" dongle and put the Telstra on ok i have the Connect ok and i can see "3" or the 02 (this as the £10 on and it is live) there and a blue light on all the time.When i press the connect i see this:A connection to the remote pc could not be established,so port used for this connection was closed for further assistance, click more info or seach help and support center for this error number.i am lost now can you help me please.john

i have this dongle but dont know in what order/way round to do this stuff

i have a netbook running ubuntu which i want to use this dongle in....

do i firstly unlock the dongle in normal pc(want to use it with o2 sim).......then install on ubuntu?what will it use to connect on the netbook?because if i flash the dongle i will get rid of the 3 connect software wont i?

an idiots step by step guide with links please guys if not too much trouble...

you can save the 3 drives on cd dvd and then flash.

Read through this thread and it's links, I managed to unlock mine and I am not a computer nerd.

What have you got under "settings"?
You need to setup different profiles for '3' and O2
Both need a dial number of "*99***1#"
'3' needs an APN of "three.co.uk", O2 can be left default.
All other setting are let as default.
