Technically I'm in the south (London) but it's my OH who owns the boobies, no breastfeeding picnics for me :A I am sure you northerners will have a lovely time tomorrow though! Hopefully in a park not a lake!
only OH's mum and dad call him Jonathan, it's even in his medical notes 'they call him Fergus' so that's what he gets at the GP!We wanted to give him the option, because someone posted on MSE that no one with any sense would call a child fergus and that it would scar him! On my baby shower mini-thread that my old-style friends had for me on here to cheer me up on the day of my grannie's funeral!
And we thought, well, it'll be good for him to have a conventional name to choose at big boy school if he'd like to.
My brother's name is Fergus, chosen for no reason bar my parents liking it, he seems to have coped ok. May have helped him having an older brother called Bruno to distract people I guess...0 -

I for one promise to blub my eyes out!!
Weezl - what a t0sser  how dare someone say that to you!! That's why I don't venture out of here very often now...too many idiots around.
Benjamin is Benjamin - full name all the time. I find it quite hard when people call him Ben because to us he is Benjamin IYSWIM. Although we did pick the name with the idea that it could be Ben...
My nephew is William, full name all the time and we can't imagine shortening it. Yet my bro's other boy is Alexander and has been called Alex since birth!
Fritha - thank you
Elle - I grew my own page boy but you don't need to wait that long, he was 18 months0 -

Biased, much?
One of my friends takes her little ones (boys aged 4 and 6) on the open top bus along the seafront. They go from one end to the other, eat sandwiches in the sun on the top deck then stop off at the paddling pool and sandpit on the way back. Costs £5 for the whole day.0 -

Jasmine was 3 when she was our home grown flowergirl
Dylan cant really be shortened, but already he is getting 'wee man' (think very put on Belfast accent when saying it!) instead of Dylan
Jasmine gets her full name most of the time from everyone except meI usually call her Jas or Jazzy !!
The two best things I have done with my life

I'm planning a day of domestic goddess-ness tomorrow... What are the chances?!
I want to sort some of the spare room, bake biscuits (and now make fridge cake, thanks to Sami!), plus obviously feed Rhys, express (give those jobs an hour each time) and my old school friend is coming round, plus someone to view the spare room bedroom furniture we have for sale and the comms nurse coming to give Rhys his jab. Oh, and chase up the GP and see what he will and won't prescribe for Rhys - bloody NHS budgets!
My friend's mum works on Tesco and apparently she's gone rather mad on the clothes for Rhys front..0
