york hotel for sight seeing

anyone reccomend a decent clean , well priced hotel for york sightseeing prefer something within walking distance from the center with parking ?

Worth a park & Ride visit to Clifton Moor, the pub is called The Flying Legends'
its a chain but with excellent food and all buy one meal get one free which gets my vote, we dont live too far away so go quite often.

make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
