Do you know anyone who could do a better job next time in exchange for something you can do? I think you have a couple of years to sort it.

I look back on photos of my haircuts as a child and cringe. My mum used to just cut it straight (or attempted too!) with big orange sewing scissors, one time she cut half of my eyebrow off. Traumatic!

My mum paid a haridresser to cut my hair like that, on a regular basis. But then she is evil ;)

My uncle used to cut my hair (he was a proper hairdresser!) but I always used to get asked if I was a boy (i'm not!) - it was awful!

I have vowed I won't put my daughter through that!

Poor kid. I remember getting my long hair cut into the perdy style as a child . The hairdresser ended up giving me a black eye with the styling brush. To top it all my mother paid the bill.

I've had some interesting hairdo's over the years as a kid... including the dreaded mullet (oh yes! LOL) - my stepsister trained as a hairdresser (she's actually a very good one...) and yours truely ended up as a regular practise model whether I wanted to be or not... :)
Since leaving home I've never had a fringe though... co-incidence? I think not :rotfl:

I've been cutting DS1(almost 15)'s hair for the last 14 years and I'm getting really rather good *polishes finger nails on lapel and admires the shine*

I started like you with The Basin Cut in 1995. Over the years I've had plenty of practice apart from Summer 2006 to Summer 2007 when he grew his hair.

Last night he had a very precise request (feathery sideburns, swept fringe with some hight for spiking and a general spiral effect) which I actually managed to do :D. He won't go to the barbers/hairdressers because he says he won't get the haircut he wants. Bless :o

To be fair we've had some BAD haircuts in the early days and I've taken a nick out of his ear more than once, but if you stick at it you can be the Ultimate MSE Hairdresser. It can save you buckets of cash over the years.

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.
