I too had awful hair cuts when I was young, At one point I had it short and spikey, (about 8!) My mum has always had her hair like this so this is why I must've got stuck with it! I used to get called "son" :'(

I had a thick fringe that came from the back of my head when I was a child. I hated it and I grew my fringe out when I was a teenager and I've never had a fringe since!

My daughter is two and has shoulder length hair, that drops into a parting on one side and I clip the longer side back with pretty slides. My Mam is desperate to cut a fringe into it, but I've told her if she touches my daughter with the scissors, I'll never speak to her again
