Believe it or not many consumers do become customers with companies who send out samples/gifts. It is a good way for a consumer to test the quality and service a company has to offer before parting with any money. Many companies value this marketing tool as they understand the importance of attracting new customers to their marketplace, especially in the current climate where consumers are reluctant to take risks with their money. This is also a useful tool for recruiting consumers onto the company's mailing list, effectively payment in return for allowing a company access to your personal details. Would anyone have voluntarily filled out their name, address, etc on modelsownit.com if there wasn't the offer of a gift? I doubt it.
Sorry if this is a bit too in depth but this is a great example of very bad marketing - overpromising and underdelivering.
i really liked the site when i 1st looked, but now wont ever give em my cash.
they are abysmal. and for those thinkin im sayin this coz it was free. i do this with any online merchant that stuffs up. i did the same with ALDO and now only buy in store, as they are shocklingly AWFUL.0 -

Same here. It is all a bit p**s poor, but I think that at the end of the day we all need to rememeber that it was freebie, so whilst we are annoyed about not getting it, it's not as if it's cost us anything0 -

self advertising me thinks!!:rolleyes:0 -
Actually many MSE recieved theres as a few of them are my friends.. people who ordered there's late didnt recieve it becuase they were late!!.. im sure theres many other freebies on this site you can order !!!
And i very much doubt this was self advertising as im a 16 year old school girl who got an email about a freebie and thought i would share it with all the other MSE's who are always posting freebies to share with everyone else. I really think you should get over the fact you were to late ordering this particular freebie!0 -

If you read back some other MSE have recieved there aswell, weve got to remember this is only a small business who might not have thought as many people would register and the email was only sent out to Blyk members.0
